Good hire
My only concern is he's 55 years old. Was kind of hoping for a little younger up and coming coach.
Miles will only be here two more years

sounds like he can also help Coach Penishead on special teams
Do you idiots not realize our st didn't regress, but actually progressed in most categories. A st coach isn't going to help a kicker make chip shots.

if Ball was so good, why didnt Bobo take him to Col State with him. not impressed
He wasn't going to be the OC there so why would he of left UGA?

Because WR coach is a position where you should have someone who's a good recruiter and coach. It's usually where you find some of the best recruiters and it's one of the stepping stones to getting a better job like OC. He seems like a decent coach but reading Georgia fans he doesn't sound like a great recruiter at all.
Well UGA signed like 5 out of 47 of the highly rated players in ga. I'd say no one on their staff is a great recruiter. Other programs are raiding that state.

Tony Ball set to be the new WRs coach at LSU
He knows how to get the best out of his WRs. I'm excited to see what he does with Dupre
Thank you!! In 2013 when UGA beat us, name 2 recievers on that squad........dude gets the job done plain and simple, hell UGA had 4000 yards receiving in 2012 under Ball

Needs to teach our receivers how to adjust to poorly thrown balls
our passing game could have been a lot better last year simply if Quinn didn't have the drops. Jennings did hit him consistently, they just didn't make many completions.
You get something simple like that, and you have a foundation to build on. You hit Quinn 3-4 times in a half (and he hangs on), and the defense has to adjust. You then can move to the next target.
Jennings wasn't going to be mistaken for Brady or Brees back there, but he just never had a go-to guy to get started with.
Sounds like Ball might be part of the equation to fix things.

Fwiw my buddy is upset he left UGA and he played at UGA under Ball so I value that opinion more than 14 year olds on the internet.
We have talent and unreal recruiters, having a WR coach known for excellent talent development might be great for us.
We need a good teacher at WR and discipline. All worried about his recruiting I read his answers to Jimmy Smith's questions and he said he covers Georgia, Florida, Carolinas, and Maryland. I am sure he can get better as a recruiter and said that wherever Frank sends him he will be ready...
