and lots of it! The ability to not let something slow him down a bit....like a shoulder popping out 20 times last year and then coming back after surgery up to his full potential this year. Yeah....I'll ride with White on any given day as he'll give all he has to the game and LSU! In the earlier games this year Tommys’ swing was such that he was hitting the ball more on the top-half consequentially more hot grounders but watching his swing the previous two games….any pitcher facing him for the remainder of the year is gonna be in trouble….provided no relapse with the shoulder!

He is a warrior. The team depends on him and he has stepped up.

I said it in the game thread last night, but I have absolute confidence In him to win an MLB batting title. I think he’s just that damn good. Obviously everyone knows about the power, but his approach and bat control are MLB quality.

Is he good again? Has it been two weeks already?

Yeah. He has the mentality that you want in every successful athlete in any sport. He believes he is better than you, and when you are facing him you will know it. It's a Burrow, Jordan, Kobe quality. Not saying he is in the same goat category, but the kid is just a winner.

Anybody who questioned White's hitting should never be taken seriously again. Even when he wasn't hitting his absolute best, he was hitting over .300. Now he seems to have figured something out, and people are going to have to start walking him to get to Jones and Travinski. Think about that. Walk a guy to pitch to a dude who if he hits a pop fly it's probably going 375.

To be fair, I don't think anyone questioned his ability. They questioned his approach...which changed after he lost the best player in CBB

He's definitely hitting his stride at the right time and it's fun to watch.

We have been very lucky to have Crews for 3 years and now Tommy for 2 years. Two of the most talented hitters who are just extremely fun to watch.

Nothing about his approach changed. His timing seemed a little off before last weekend. Was just that simple. Hitting is all about timing. Seems he got that back figured out now.

The walk off versus Wake cemented his legend status with me.

last years team had so many awesome character guys I still feel like he gets lost in the shuffle.

Skenes, Dugas, Crews, Morgan, Beloso.

Tommy White is one of the best hitters we’ve ever had. Insane blend of power and contact.

Tell me how his approach has changed. I don't see any

I see people mostly criticizing his first-pitch approach, which is no different than it has been his whole career. It is an aggressive hitting philosophy that is as old as baseball, that being the first pitch is often the best pitch you see from many pitchers so jump on it if it looks good.

White's approach has always been "see ball, hit ball". And it's usually "hit ball hard".

Someone said earlier, timing hasn't been the greatest early in the year. He had been swinging and missing more frequently than I remember him doing last season. Missing the summer and fall will do that, but he seems to be finding his groove again.

It hasn't, which is why the poster said it and didn't return. It's a rantards staple. Just make a general dumbass statement, and when pressed to explain, they hit a downvote button and disappear.
