Basically toeing the company line: young team, CPM been successful for 15 years, not time to panic.

Did say the team won’t hit SEC pitching the way they hit in midweek games (obviously) & that he is hearing panic in BR.

Todd Walker could come coach LSU. His baseball IQ is up there with the best.

It would be fun to watch him and Ryan Theriot have a debate.

CPM has been successful in same capacity as Les Miles.... successful in spite of themselves.

He needs to purge Nolan Cain from recruiting coordinator and get a paid hitting coach and RC that can spot talent a little better. Our 3rd paid assistant is a 3rd base coach...smh

This popular comparison on here is not accurate.

You do realize Cain has killed it in recruiting right. #2 class last year.

hell no. Look at this freshman class. Our starting three pitchers are magnificent. Talent isn’t the issue at all

Yeah because in a normal year , Crews and Morgan show up to campus right? The point is you are using a paid assistant spot for him....you don’t think we can find a better hitting coach using a paid spot? LSU recruits itself in baseball

Top 5 recruiting classes. Are all of the “experts” wrong as well?

It's hard not to be successful with the recruiting advantage LSU has. They have won a lot of NCs and have led the nation in attendance for like 2 decades or something. The only other schools remotely close to having the atmosphere LSU has are Arkansas, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

I think South Carolina is the only other school in the nation averaging more than 5,000 in attendance. And although South Carolina has won a national championship in baseball (they have 2), those other schools have never won an NC.

Recruiting is not the problem the problem is development. LSU players compete based on their own talent. Very few get bigger and better. Strength, hitting, and base running needs to be addressed and yes those are things that have passed the HOF coach up. He needs to have a great young assistant coaches who understand today’s game and he can pass his understanding of how to run a successful program to.

Does LSU really have much of a recruiting advantage over the rest of the SEC anymore? I don’t see it

Todd and Ben work for ESPN. Unless it’s Will Wade, they’re not gonna be allowed to talk bad about teams or coaches. It’s not their personal opinions.

The whole “lsu recruits itself” thing doesn’t fly anymore. Anywhere else but Trant

Cade Beloso was your best returning hitter, in a year were he draft was only 5 rounds & everyone was supposed to returning good players.

At LSU, Cade Beloso should never be your best returning player to begin with. Much less in a year the draft was only 5 rounds

After 2017 the talent has dipped well below LSU standards in term of position players. Keep in mind there was also a season in which there wasn’t one LHP on the roster. Dude this is fricking LSU, not BRCC. Kids are dying to come play at LSU and they can’t even piece that together correctly. A gross roster mismanagement the last few years.

2020 was going to be our worst year at the plate since before Skip. Covid saved PM being on the hot seat.
