NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE ummmmmm..... NOPE. I hate Florida, and always will! You need to listen to Jacob Hester you don't pull for your rivals. They steal some of our best recruits. I could see pulling for an underdog like Vandy football, or even Tennessee they've been down for years. FLorida and Bama have beat us more than anybody else in the SEC if you pull for them your a 3/4 Tiger Fan.

Maybe so, but a Florida loss hurts them badly when going against other Florida schools in recruiting. With FSU down Miami needs to pick up the slack to keep the top Florida kids from picking UF. Mullen isn’t a great recruiter, and it needs stay that way.

Guilty as charged. It still is better if Miami wins in my opinion though. Our SoS is strong enough that if Florida tanks we will be fine.

Don't care if Florida wins or loses. I only hope LSU beats them.

If we go undefeated the point is moot but with one loss strength of schedule and quality wins becomes imperative

Miami and Auburn ended up being nowhere near as good as expected last year, yet our strength of schedule was still one of the best in the country, and helped us land the Fiesta Bowl bid.

I think you're putting too much weight on a lone Gator win in August making a difference for us in December.

If there is any net positive for LSU in the outcome of tonight's game, then that is what I will be rooting for. I love lsu more than I hate Florida.

I get that, but what if Miami ends up sucking again this year? That's not going to help Florida's SOS any, so it won't help ours either. Hell, what if Florida ends up mediocre, too?

There's just so much football to play before we can assume a Florida win over Miami would be a net positive for LSU.

How about because it doesn’t factor in anymore? At least not a mathematical formula like in the BCS. The playoff team are picked by the committee and no one will look at LSUs schedule and say it wasn’t strong enough if Florida is 8-4 or 9-3 instead of 10-2. It will be about LAU and how we play.

Is it better to beat a 10-2 Florida team or an 8-4 Florida team?

I bet no LSU fan hoped Miami would suck after we beat them last year.

ETA forget my bet comment this thread is proof how dumb and illogical our fans are

Obviously. They are an out of conference opponent though. Our playoff chances aren’t riding on Florida having 10 wins. The last thing we need is for them to become the perennial powerhouse they once were. It is better for them to lose today, go 8-4, and our SoS to take a small hit than for them to take over Florida recruiting for the next few years.
