I just haven't heard a logical reason to root against having a stronger strength of schedule.

How about because it doesn’t factor in anymore? At least not a mathematical formula like in the BCS. The playoff team are picked by the committee and no one will look at LSUs schedule and say it wasn’t strong enough if Florida is 8-4 or 9-3 instead of 10-2. It will be about LAU and how we play.

If you want to root for Florida over Georgia who we don’t play ok but it doesn’t really matter

At the end of last year the only ranked teams Clemson played were A&M and their opponents in the playoffs

You are missing the boat, Clemson went undefeated last year. If we go undefeated the point is moot but with one loss strength of schedule and quality wins becomes imperative

How do you figure? You talked to all the members of the playoff selection committee and got that first hand?

Do you even read? See below

Right, I get that. You ask me do I read. I ask you do you use your brain?

People are who determine who gets in. So again, how do you know that's what they are thinking (that SOS doesn't play a factor)?

I downvoted. Then I kept hitting the downvote arrow, thinking that if I would ever be granted a second downvote on the same post, it would be this one.

Thanks for removing emotion from your response. I didn't realize how many lsu fans couldn't remove emotion from logic but it turns out it's the vast majority. Cheers

I am a fan of no team who recruits the same type of fish from the same pond as we do.

We are going to beat Florida. I'm trying to think of what I would enjoy more - beating a cocky, undefeated Florida or a once defeated not so heralded Gator team.

Hmmmmm.....

Lol, we got Louisiana on lock and have branched all the way to California. Whether Florida or Miami wins is largely irrelevant for our recruiting efforts. How many players do we get from Florida every year? Still gonna have yet another top 3 class next year. Y'all just aren't rooting for Florida bc you hate em. I get it, but not when it can actually hurt lsu in the long run
