Auburns 4 opponents before us passed for:

197 2 TD 0 INT
275 0 TD 0 INT
232 0 TD 0 INT
179 0 TD 1 INT

And we followed it up with:
85 0 TD 0 INT

Tennessee’s poor pass defense will not matter if Jayden continues to play like he has. He has to throw it down the field and take shots. Tennessee played a soft zone against Florida and Richardson did well. Hopefully Jayden can take the next step and actually throw the ball downfield this game.

How are they against the run?

They are pretty good at #21. They did a good job at containing UF's run game. On the opposite end, they were atrocious at stopping the pass and UF's QB had no passing TDs until he played UF and tore their D up bad. Daniels has to let go of the ball to take advantage of the holes on their D though. Let our WRs show their skills (and they need to play a hell of a lot better than they did on Saturday). I think Daniels and the WRs will look much better this week.

Their 4 opponents have passed for
269 1 TD 2 ints (Ball St)
195 1 TD 1 int (274 2/1 - the starter got hurt and you missed the other QB's stats)
241 0 TD int (Akron)
453 2 td 1 int

Nice pick up. I just looked at Slovis' stats for that game. They're definitely vulnerable.

Aren't we ranked 80th in passing?

No. 68th. 248 yards per game. Tenn allows 309.

LSU pass rating is like 208 so this isn’t encouraging

We are ranked 68th after that horrible performance on Saturday. That places us right in line with the passing offenses they have played this year and for which they have their ranking. Thus we should see success.

Of the passing defenses that TN has faced, only Pitt breaks into the top 50 and that was Hooker's lowest output in an OT win.

Hooker is very good, but it is far too early to really know just how good they are and also more credit should come LSU's way in regard to it's offense.
