Wonder what he will say on SNF introduction?

He will say lsu. He loves lsu and is a smart enough kid to know he made some mistakes and is even being mentored by PP7 Dad.

You might be right (Kiper and McShay seem to agree with you) but I don't think these are comparable.

LOL you've got to be kidding me, Peyton Manning has been in the league for over 10 years and has played in Super Bowls and been the league MVP and played in how many Pro Bowls and sat out for a season with an inury. That's not really a valid comparison.

lol, right. because Hester's roster spot in Denver is just so secure.

I thought I'd read that Tyrann had left La. and went down to live with Patrick Peterson's family in FL. is that true or a Rant rumor?

Don't you have to be a starter to be there?

In all seriousness, some team could take a chance on him mid-to-late for KR/PR ability.. Definitely not for his (lack of) cover ability.

Peyton Manning was due to an injury. The point is that sitting out a season does not make a player lose his skills. Does it take time to shake off the rust, sure. But a 20 year old athlete will not lost all football skills for life because he sat out one season.

Jeremy Hill sat out last season for legal issues. He has shown this year that he didn't lose all of his skills by sitting out one season. Hill and Mathieu situations are very similar as it relates to football.

What's with this "best of luck to him" crap.

Screw him, he's an idiot. Wasted an LSU scholarship, made the university look bad.

There are lots of folks who work hard everyday and this stupid shite head waste the opportunity of a lifetime.

I hope he never gets drafted and works a shitty job.

Can anybody honestly say they would be surprised if he contiunes his outstanding "playmaking" in the NFL?

Not me... because he simply was "around the ball" all the time and made big plays all the time.

It's one of those uncoachable traits that only a few have (ie. Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu)

Of course, he has to pay his lawyers? And what college team is going to take him?

I personally think that there is no shot this guy goes undrafted.... GM's have taken scarier risk on players such as Pacman Jones, Dez Bryant, Justin Blackmon,Tank Johnson and a few others I don't feel like naming.

Players in the NFL often get in trouble for gun related incidents or fights. If I was a GM I would definitely look to take him especially in a sub-par draft class like we having coming up.

He is a football player and was the best football player in the country last year. Someone will draft him and he will be a playmaker

Let it go, man. Holding a grudge will only eat you up inside.

He gave LSU a couple of good years and I believe wanted to come back, but his demons got the best of him.

I wish him luck.

The difference between Tyrann Mathieu and all of the guys you named is that they played football. Tyrann Mathieu didn't play football this year and it will have been a year and a few months since his last game come draft time. I'm not saying he lost all of his skills, but his last game he played he was not NFL ready. Not as a CB anyway. Those guys you mentioned were the best at their respective positions. Mathieu is not the best NFL ready corner in college. He is a playmaker and forces turnovers and does a decent job with returning punts. How bad does an NFL team want a punt returner and a good nickel?

Maybe he gets drafted, then we get to watch him on the next season of Hard Knocks struggling in coverage, ultimately traded elsewhere.
