My friends younger brother got pat down walking into Williams-Brice during the UAB game. He is an idiot and had a pill bottle filled with weed in his cargo pocket. Apparently the cop saw a buldge in the pocket and thought he was sneaking in a flask so he stopped him. If you sneak in a flask just tuck it in the front of your pants and wear a hoodie.

And there are no "LSU" bars but im sure the cajun presence will be felt throughout columbia this weekend. Im sure you will fine w/ the Carolina crowd as long as you dont act too obnoxious.

I'm not going to the game but want to point out the class and nice manners this poster has exhibited. There are many here who could well learn from this guy.

Word of warning (I read through this thread earlier and just felt I needed to post this-regarding the Bar-b-Que suggestions)

Someone suggested "Maurice Bessinger's" (or is it just Maurice's? I can't remember) - I am not 100% sure if it is still this way or not, but if you are black, you will not likely get waited on.

The Bessinger family owns a string of great BBQ restraunts in S.C. (Melvin's, Bessinger's) which do not foster their brother's Hatred, but Maurice Bessinger is a flat out Racist and I would avoid his place unless that doesn't really bother you.

Sorry for breaking up the levity with this, but I just wanted to make sure any unsuspecting folks were aware before they tried to go there.

You wont get patted down if your not a student ticket. For the UGA game this year I had a whole flask in my pocket and a drink in my hand and walked right into the game with the drink in my hand. AS long as you don't go where the students enter you wont get patted down, just like Tiger Stadium

Finally - My People will be in town! There will be a group of us local Tiger fans at Blue Marlin tonight most likely. Tailgating is going to be a pain in the arse.
Upstairs at Carolina Ale House in the Vista may be a good place to take over. They like to play the 2001 Space Odyssey theme that SC uses as pregame. It would be fun to have a bunch of LSU fans in there yelling Tiger Bait.

USC Parking statement

Just so ya know - if you're tailgaiting out of the back of your car, park at the Colonial Life Arena - free and a free shuttle to the game!

FYI, here's little dose of what you can expect traffic wise Saturday. The fair really makes for a lot of headaches on gamedays. Plan to get there early and stay late. Otherwise, you'll just sit in traffic, 20 feet away from your tailgate spot wishing you had just stayed parked for another hour or so.

Yeah, Kuhn is a stand-up kinda person.

Everybody's fan base is going to have SOME haters, flamers and downright rude people... Some of us Gamecocks fans like to show that we know what Southern hospitality is.

We look forward to having you guys in our city, and to a good game!

Alternatives to Blowfish if packed or limited tailgating???

Is there anywhere to tailgate on campus?
(seems like that might be a better atmosphere than the industrial sector/empty baseball stadium)

How slow/fast are the shuttles? Do they have a dedicated lane or will you just be stuck in traffic packed in the shuttle like sardines?

We are going to check Blowfish stadium for tailgating. Liberty Tap Room was taken over by P&G last night. There was some hot local talent, but the buck to doe ratio was about 7 to 1. Good thing I had my three does with me.
