I feel like any time I do any post complimenting Coach O I have to qualify it by writing that I thought he was a fallback hire and would not have been my choice.

But I am a give credit where credit is due guy. And I hope Coach O proves me wrong and improves next year on a pretty decent season this year.

One beef I had last year was that Orgeron's main redeeming quality for me as a coach was his reputation as a top notch recruiter. Last year's class was average by LSU standards.

This year's class is very solid, especially after closing today on two big prospects at important areas of need. Getting Emery, Davis, Stingley and Thomas obviously checks a lot of boxes too.

Every coach has some relative strengths and weaknesses. The ability to recruit is a key skill for a coach to play in the SEC. Orgeron really needed to deliver this year on recruiting, his supposed strong suit. S far he has.

So a nice tip of the hat to Coach O and his staff on a recruiting job well done. There is still some closing to do on this class come February, but a lot of our big bellwether cows are already in the barn.

We absolutely had a good day.

February will determine is this class becomes awesome. The foundation is more than set though.

Last year's class wasn't glitzy, but it definitely addressed needs. This year's class is definitely more glitzy and addresses needs, too. CEO has done a great job.

He's building up the trenches with elite talent. Now we need to see elite results.

Question is: Did you give yourself an upvote?

On a more serious note, this staff has done an outstanding job I must say! So I agree with you.

Nah just give credit when credit is due and vice versa with criticism. Outstanding job with this class so far and let's hope it closes out even better in February.

Coach O is here to stay. Nega tigers need to face reality. He did better than anticipated this year and we have a great recruiting class this year

I disagree. This class is already awesome. February could make this class epic and set us up for multiple runs.

Sucks three other sec teams are having epic classes as well. Hahha

Probably should take it easy on these type of comments.

It's a really good class, precisely what he was brought here to do and what should be expected of him. Why don't we leave it at that?

Many of you Pump Kids just don't get it.

There's not enough quality OL/DL's in number to make a significant difference...……...

If Ed hires a capable OC my confidence level shoots up quickly.

This was a hell of a recruiting class which has always been his strong suit. He did his job and I’m stoked these kids will join our current studs.

Now he has to hire the best coordinators in the nation and Ensminger at OC is not it. That was the original plan and nobody should let up on Orgeron for that promise.

A change needs to be made.
