Anybody with a brain knows that the defense did not help LSU out in big spots against Florida and aTm.
BUT.....anybody with a brain also watched the defense almost single handidly win LSU some games. A terrible defense, combined with the offense we had this season, and LSU isn't bowl eligible.
If you want try to put blame on the defense, then you either weren't watching, or you are a total moron. This does not mean the defense does not share any blame in the UF and aTm loses. Hell, Aranda admitted so himself.

If you look at EVERY football game ever played, the winning team will have the advantage in TOP for a huge majority of the time.

My point is that the defense was not worn out in games because of the offense having the ball only 25% of the time.

The Rantard myth is that the TOP battle rests solely on the shoulders of the offense.
You know what the defense can do? Get a 3 and out and force a quick punt. That helps the TOP.

Depth allows you to hold up but it’s not a myth that you want to keep your D fresh with sustained drives. Why would you even try to make this point. Do you understand how dumb that is. It’s like anti strategy. They are human beings. Human beings get tired. It’s like you are trying to convince people that our offense is terrible by design. Go back to posting less.

Go put up the stats for 3 and outs in the first half of those losses...
It’s NOT all about TOP. Depends on the type of offense the other team plays. Secondly, that TAMU game is a GREAT example how the DEFENSE gave the offense the tie. It was special teams that hurt in that game as well.
PLUS the defense was down several players.
