i still see alot of backhand compliments...
"congrats you won, but we were missing players, and LMJ did get injured, and we did fumble even though you may have stripped it, we still did fumble, and we did happen to give you the ball close to your endzone, and we did have to play a freshman at RB, and we did have an injury to our 2nd string RB, and oh yeah our 3rd string shouldnt have even played, and we didnt have our star punt returner."

Well now that we've played, we're pulling for you to win out the rest of the way!

How bout the fact that our STARTING QUARTERBACK didn't play! How bout the fact that one of our major Offensive playmakers didn't play either. And we had a fumble deep in our end too but Oregon didn't do anything to cause it. I hate when an opposing fan says "we gift wraped" those turnovers for you. What?! We RIPPED the ball out, dude. It's not like the ball fell out of there hands. Also, why say repeatedly that you don't want to try to take anything away from LSU but our guys were hurt, we gave you the ball, we had freshmen in there, blah, blah, blah.
All you need to do it to come here and say you got beat down by a far better team. Don't say your not gonna make excuses and then write a 1500 word essay of excuses!!!

Thanks for showing up to take your medicine.
It was a good game and Oregon looks to me like a 10-2 team that will destroy lesser competition and maybe get a BCS berth. It was really fun to play Oregon, it's another in a really long list of skins on the wall for LSU in the last decade. I think the whole country pulls for Oregon, and it's a program that will stay near the top for many years to come. It's not a "team" that's having a run, it's a legitimate dominant PROGRAM.
That said, permit me a few obvious points.
The CONSTANT refrain of the stats-obsessed Oregon fan is "Even though we had more yards than you". I will know Oregon has reached the mountaintop when I stop reading that ludicrous statement. It reeks of Noveau riche football everytime we hear it.
As for your turnovers, we CAUSED them. Not only by forcing the ball out, but by knocking your two previous starters out of the game. We win not only because of our awesome starting 22, but because of our battle-tested and vastly superior second 22. Oregon is nowhere close yet. Maybe that changes with three/four more recruiting classes.
I'd like to also point out that when we snapped the ball to nobody, gift-wrapping one to Oregon, which you failed to capitalize on with a touchdown, getting only a field goal. And that we lost THREE critical multi-season starters on Offense in the week before the game, and still rallied.
I'll pull for you down the stretch, as will the vast majority of LSU fans. We respect your program, but this year you are just not ready for primetime. In fairness, this early in the season, it remains to be seen if LSU is either.

Thanks Pimp. You said it better than me.

Talking about those injuries and how they hurt yall really is telling. That is why people say that PAC12 teams couldnt hang in the SEC. Not that your 1st team couldnt handle SEC 1st team, but that we play so hard in the South that injuries happen every game. And you have to deal with that injury and not complain. Your backup better be a good replacement cause they are gonna see the field if you play an 8 game SEC schedule.

Not only long and whiny but full of grammatical errors. We had just as many, if not more, play makers out and we stepped up. If you want to run with the big cats, you cannot be a crybaby.

I think our DE's could run stride for stride with LMJ...
I doubt LJM runs a sub 4.5...he is just very quick...unfortunately, he won't do much in the NFL...size is a big issue...

Do you think this may be a product of us having short fields and playing soft for your last 2 drives?
I hope you leave this board, you are a moron and your posts suck.
You misuse of words make your posts hard to read.

I posed the question a while back before the game:
"who's the 2nd string RB?"
And that is what it came down to with his fumbles that were caused by the lsu defense

1. Oregon had more yards. Damn I have heard this enough. We gave them 80 in th 4th, they should be gracious enough o just take the garbage and hush. We rn out of yards to get, when you run into the end zone, the yardage stops.
2. The third quarter was as thorough of an arse whipping that can be handed out, there were no silver linings for Oregon.
3. We are not a complete team. If we had a passing threat, it would have been worse, mainly because we would have more points in first half.
You say you won't make excuses, but write three paragraphs of reasons you lost.

#24 is the #2 RB...and he went out with cramps also
So the #3 RB was the freshman...

I am not going to make any excuses to losing, as the scoreboard does not lie. Even though we had many more yards vs you, it is the scoreboard one goes by to decide a winner and you thumped us.
You oregon fans keep telling yourselves that and I'll crack an egg of truth all over your faces.
Total yards: Oregon 335 - LSU 273
70 of Oregon's yards came on the last drive, that started with 2:46 on the clock and you were down 20 points. LSU was strictly in prevent the entire drive and was playing many back ups. It was garbage time. We were letting you march down field, we were just avoiding the big play. We made you run the clock. Last time I checked 273 > 265

Thanks for manning up and please stick around. We're all hoping the Ducks win out.

We can make excuses too. Our QB that was supposed to start, the one that is close to breaking the all time win record for a starting QB at LSU, didn't play at all.
Russell Shepard, one of the most explosive players on our team, yeah, he didn't play either.
Patrick Peterson, our great CB, yeah he left a year early for the NFL.
But you know what? We still won.

Nice post! I honestly think that your team is still very good and will win the rest of their games. With our schedule, your team has a better chance of winning on out so we may both have a hard time reaching the championship game. But I for one would love a rematch.
