Les Miles should have kept his mouth shut. But he didn't. He was speculating at best because no one told the guy he was being released. He may have leaked it so the shitstorm would play out just like it did. Les won and LSU lost out on getting a coach to move the program forward. Next year will be much of the same.

Agreed that we still could have lost Jimbo because Sexton started getting his greedy hands in the deal. Meanwhile Jimbos team was putting the wood the SEC East champs

How about the idiots on this board with their "sources"? My beloved MIL had better sources at her beauty shop. (She was spot on about Miles to Michigan, lol @ ESPN)
The whole Miles thing convinced me, that outside of a very few posters, most Ranters don't know dick about football, business, or LSU.
One last thing:
Anyone who thinks Joe Alleva is a competent AD should have their posting privileges revoked. He personally set LSU back at least one year in recruiting and made us the laughingstock of DI athletics. His termination should be immediate.

One last thing:

umm that's proof it was staged. If it was such a common occurrence why did the producer of the SEC network allocate an extra 5 minutes to let him sing through it (you know producers allocate time slots to the second right?).
The SEC network allocated the time because they knew exactly what they were doing and when ahead of time. Anyone who thinks all that wasn't staged is a goof.
