A lot of complaining about Nikki, but we have invested huge money in gymnastics and softball facilities/coaches. We have the best gymnastics and now the best softball facilities in the SEC & country. The SEC wins natty's in both sports, but we have not.

I don't mind supporting women's sports, but if we are giving resources to this extent, we should expect same results we ask from Paul, Ed, and the General.

That said, DD & Beth are two of my favorite LSU coaches and I am confident we can do it. But it won't happen until we raise our expectations.

I think you’re underestimating how hard it can be to win it all in gymnastics.

They’ve both become elite programs and as fans, we expect them to compete for titles...National Championships would definitely be nice and are the ultimate goals.

To infer that they’re not trying and fans are not hoping??.

As fans, we always hope but did not expect to win the Football National Championship this year.

Because one sports don’t excel and play on the level they have been historically because of high expectation. We fans need to expect more, that’s do it. If not fire those coaches, I guess? (That was sarcasm, to be clear).

OP, this must be the month of really bad hot takes, so you fit right in.

Honestly, they should both be disbanded after this year if they don't win it all. Those resources could be much better utilized for one or more of the real sports.

It might be time to force DD into retirement if she doesn’t win it this year

I think that Beth is a very good coach. That said, there is no reason that we should struggle so mightily at the plate season after season with no changes being made. I appreciate everything that Dobson has done, but I’m thinking it might be time to go in another direction and bring in a new hitting coach.

They started the process by making Jay the co-head coach

That is ridiculous. The program was neglected for along time and finally with resources they are elite. They have had the misfortune o becoming elite at the same time as Oklahoma has emerged as the top program and has been slightly better.

The LSU Four on the Floor score last season would have won 23 of the last 30 championships. It just was not enough to beat Oklahoma. They coming and they aint backing down.

Last year was her best chance with the 4 seniors and they couldn’t do it. This year’s team is very young. They are relying on too many freshmen this year.
