Al Michaels is one of the all-time greats, but the calendar remains undefeated.
I didn't watch the game last night, for those who did, how did he do?

‘He’s A Mess Right Now,’ ‘It’s Over’ — Calls Mount For Al Michaels To Graciously Exit The Booth After Rough Night At Bucs-Cowboys on TNF
Legendary play-by-play announcer Al Michaels was on the call for the Dallas Cowboys' 24-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night. The 81-year-old is in his fifth season on Amazon Prime Video's Thursday Night Football stint alongside color commentator Kirk Herbstreit.
While there was plenty to talk about as the Bucs picked up their first win of the season, fans had a complaint or two about the quality of the broadcast with Michaels at the helm of the booth.

I love Al, but he sounded disinterested or drunk every time I tuned into TNF last year.

Al Michaels is my GOAT, but I think he just doesn't give a frick about calling Thursday Night football games. Get Kirk off my TV for those too.

Al Michaels is the man but I think he's just doing TNF to stay busy and collect an easy check......meaning he really doesn't give a damn about the game itself. Plus, few people enjoy Thursday night NFL.

He is retired. He just shows up and collects a check on Thursdays.

Every time Tampa scored, he sounded like his dog died.

Al is great, and I hope he calls games as long as he wants to.

Replacing him won’t fix the ratings

he don't eat his vegetables, but he's had some of the most memorable calls in the history of sports.

The ratings are doing just fine

TNF ratings are up more than 10% over last year and most games are the highest for more than half a decade

Can’t be true, so may enlightened individuals here tell me they and so many others have stopped watching the NFL and don’t miss it.
