We've had NFL caliber pro bowl players before at the offensive skill positions (Beckham, Juice, Hill, and Mett) and didn't sniff the Nat Championship.

It's telling that you feel the urge to defend falling short of realistic expectations.

Wouldn't count on it...Les has nine lives when it comes to surviving firing attempts. I like the man except for 3 hours a week during the Fall.

So you think Miles is an average coach?

I agree, BH threw for 241 a game in our 3 losses.

Special teams is by FAR our worse facet.

Either it improves, or both the offense and defense have to be elite.

Just FYI, he picked the gumps to win the SEC. Obviously he doesn't believe in us.

right. and of course we also need better OL play, esp at pass blocking, better interior defense and better special teams play.

other than that......we need plays to save BH's life if our OL crumbles like they did against Bama last year and the DL to stop Arky's road graders on their OL.

Yep and the key to his whole statement is "IF." Brandon played well in the first 7 games last year and played like crap in the last 4 "even though we beat A&M"

I sure hope that "IF" turns to "mission accomplished!!!!"

Brandon Harris played well last year before he suffered a sports hernia. I don't know why people think he's going to decline for some reason.

D White says "what's up".
DW has never taken a snap at LB in a college football game.

There will be a Learning Curve before he's "Efficient" as a LB, much like when Beckwith didn't get the starts over Welter because he didn't know the calls.

Aranda's 3-4 LB's have many assignments and I hope he doesn't make it "Too Hard" to effectively play it out on the field....................

lol , that's bc he threw 50 passes a game.

A qb can lose a game for you in more ways than just throwing pics.
When it's 3rd and 7 and you throw incomplete more times than not that's damn near as bad as an interception.

Blame the defense all you want, but NO defense could stay fresh with all the 3 and outs we had last year.

So just so we're clear: national championship or you're fired?

I would never say a single player lost anything in a team game, but his lack of passing precision contributed.
