He worked for WAFB (Baton Rouge) from 81-86 and called LSU basketball games on Tigervision. That time period was the the apex of LSU basketball. A time when, quite frankly, a ticket inside the Assembly Center for a big game was more coveted than a ticket in Tiger Stadium. Dale was probably pretty good to Tim at that time, so I can understand Tim's affinity....even though that was 40 years ago now.

I still like Brando as a PBP guy. He and Spencer Tillman have been working together for years since their studio work for the SEC on CBS, and you can tell they have a legit friendship and chemistry during broadcasts.

That said, Brando is far from the best in the business because he lets his personal biases cloud his opinions and he gets far too sanctimonious about them, particularly on twitter. The Dale Brown Court saga being an obvious example.

Brando can be somewhat of a blow hard at times but he loves the Tigers.
