The occasion is much bigger for them. We just need to show up especially early.
Fans will be riled up
Ole Miss will come out fired up
Weather it and they’ll start pressing and the fans will start grumbling.

The key to this game is don’t turn the ball over. I like our chances if we don’t. If we throw 3 picks and fumble like last week it’s most likely over.

Didn’t realize it’s the first top 10 matchup in this series in 60 years per LK. On top of his return you got that going so it’ll be as big a game at least in the build up that has ever been played at VH in that time period.

2003: LSU was No. 3; Ole Miss was 15

Ole Miss lucked into a good SEC schedule that year to make noise. But they had non-conference losses to Memphis and Texas Tech.

64 yrs.

November 1962.
James Meredith had been admitted to Ole Miss just 1 month before, amidst campus riots.

the things about games like these are the unknowns. a pick, or even worse a pick 6, fumble scoop and score, big sack deep in your own territory etc. and then the wave of emotions from the stadium dumps in.

i always looks at games like this, and helps me from hitting the panic button. lets say LSU goes 3 and out, and ole miss block the punt and scores.

then we get the ball back, don't do much, punt it, and they get 6 or a fg.

it can seem like a monumental hill to overcome 14-0 on the road, but i look at that as simply being 2-0 if they scored 2 TD's, and 1.5-0 if a fg. that's possessions to get even or go ahead. stay balanced. stay the course. stay in your emotions and don't them get the best of you. expect the unexpected and when it happens, act like it was expected and you're prepared to overcome it.
