Great season! And I believe we will be over looked at next season's predictions, which will make the Texas win even sweeter.

You’re an idiot if you think the players didn’t view this season as a success.

Close...needed the A&M win. It was a decent season...just short of a successful season.

Yes LSU should have won but at 11-2 the final ranking would have been the same. Also it had no effect in the bowl destination. For all intents and purposes pollsters ignored that fluke.

The UCF game was much bigger than people think. Had UCF won LSU would have finished outside the top 15, around 17 or so. 11 spots in the final ranking is very significant.

We should've beat UF, too.

I want the wins over those programs for recruiting purposes...especially A&M right now.

Hopefully we don't lose games next season to teams with less overall talent than us.

At 12-1 of course you are well in the Top 5, but that Florida game is different. Yes LSU could have won but Florida made the plays at the end. The other shite was a fluke.

LSU did win a very tight game at Auburn. That one easily goes the way other way.

Definitely a success. My questions is that even if we beat TaM do we get ranked any higher?

I'll take a NY6 bowl victory and 10 wins every year.

So responding in a thread where we should be talking about football with talk about sucking cocks makes you hard? Ok.

But I'm a really good arguer.

The season was a success.

Agreed.

The offensive coaching is mediocre.

Agreed (and, we also need to develop talent, particularly on the OL, extra particularly at Offensive Tackle)

Much room for improvement.

Agreed.

Okay, baw, you got me.

Losing 3 games, 2 of which we had no business losing, is not a success to me. If it is to you, that's okay. Hopefully next season is better for us all.

OMG... seriously???? This team was picked to be 6-6, 7-5 tops, bottom of the SEC West. Did you think that they would win 10 games? 9? Come on, man. They won 10 games, finished SIXTH in the nation. 6th. In The top 10. They started the season nowhere near that. Not even in the top 20. This season was a success, albeit with disappointing losses to UF and aTm but, still, a major bowl win, 10 wins, and 6th in the nation.

Good question. I'm not sure how we could've gotten into the Top 5 because we don't pass a one loss Notre Dame team that made the College Football playoff. On the other hand, Texas A&M doesn't finish at #16 without beating us so we helped them out.

I am done after this comment. I only made my comment to you because there are so many attacking others on here in an ugly way. Doesn't have to be that way. We should be able to make comments and counter points without it. I ain't soft for saying that.

No, not would have meant a better bowl game.

Most pollsters and people making decisions knew that game was a total fluke.

Thats a very successful season. Hopefully LSU is able to maintain this success, which in my opinion, is the definition of having a great program.

UCF was a meaningless scrimmage. You kind of hate that bowls are called that now, but when players don't care enough about the games to play, it is what it is

the facts are, LSU didn't win the West, didn't make the CFP, and looked embarrasing again vs. Alabama.

The last 7 years we have finished below our preseason hype. First year in a while we exceeded expectations. Hopefully it’s built on and puts us in a great starting spot next year.

You'd have to be the worst negatiger or delusional or worse to view this season as anything other than a success. I'm proud of this team and coaching staff. Now build on this success and go get the SECCG and the NC in 2019.
