You guys are freaking solid, incredible D! I hate that everything wasn't under "normal" conditions, but hey, what can ya do. I was however not pleased with all of our dropped passes and lack of physical play. I have enjoyed the several months I've spent on this board and will swing in to check up on tha Tigahs. Best of luck to yall!!

In my opinion the dropped passes were consequence of the vicious hitting unleashed by the defense at the beginning.

Thanks, and good luck to you guys defending your title.

I think your coach explained the scenerio best. They did not play like Michigan---they played like LSU.
I would not get down on the ASU receivers or the lack of physical play. LSU is both very physical and very fast. Players on opposing teams cannot visualize to what extent until the game begins.
LSU has so many weapons on both offense and on defense the opposing teams cannot realize the magnitude and quality of the depth chart until they are in a game situation.
Some positions lack experience, but there is an abundance of talent at each position. Inexperience may hurt us at QB for a time, but by mid-season the play should be at a quality level. Almost 500 yards of offense is enough to win most games with the aggressive defense my beloved Tigers put on the field.
I have confidence that ASU will be in the National Championship hunt again this year. God Speed and best wishes.

Phillyapp, ya'll played with heart, and I was impressed with your team. You're right, they didn't back down...they did get spooked in passing situations though. I will root for ASU from now on...clean, classy game. Glad all the Mountaineers made it out of LA safely. Come back soon!

He struggled a little in this game, but he is obviously Edward's main target. He will get it together I'm sure. Looked to lose his confidence after some early hits

I agree that there were too many dropped passes and I also agree that they were cause by Coleman and Co. unleashing heavy hits. Interceptions were also dropped and if a couple more went yall way, the game may have been closer (not too much though).
Anyway, good luck with the rest of your season.

Thanks. Good luck the rest of the season. If Clemson had half of the heart that App. State showed they would be dangerous.

My brother, who now lives in NC, and has a step-son who played in the App St band last year, agrees with you. Step-son was heard telling a friend back home,"Dude, you have no idea." He was a drummer and mentioned to my bro, that the snares didn't come in on time. My brother said, "you have to remember that your band does not drink before the game".

Cut him some slack, he took the big Baker hit on the opening KO, as well as the first big hit as a pass receiver. He probably didn't even know his name at that point.
