I agree. It looks pretty disheveled. I was in Austin last weekend, and went by the UT stadium. Don't know how new the inside is, but the job they did on the facade is very nice.

give the economy a few years to start picking back up and I think we'll see some movement towards renovating these. People would pay a ton to rent out luxury apartments in Tiger Stadium for gameday weekends. It would YEARS for it to come close to making any sort of profit though because the cost of renovation would be through the effin roof.

I agree...and sprucing up the outside a bit wouldn't take away from the tradition or the atmosphere. I remember a few years ago there were purple and gold banners hanging on the east side highlighting LSU's football accomplishments. Anybody know what happened to those?

Sorry padgel I forgot you guys are use to smelling mildew. My God I had season tickets for 9 years in ts. Just a little clean up would help. I DID'NT SAY TEAR THE GD THING DOWN!!! YOU DIP S....

The best way to raise gobs of money for restoration and repairs would be to turn the old dorms into a columbarium. People would pay dearly to spend eternity in Tiger Stadium.

I'm shocked at the number of posters in this thread who are embracing broken windows and mildew as part of the ambience of Tiger Stadium. Have some pride in your facilities. The intimidation is on the field.

That statement wouldn't be really hard to say in real life, I mean it is kinda gay to point out the curb appeal of a football stadium, kind of ironic in my eyes

i like it too.
makes it seem old, gives it a historic look.
why does new and clean have to be better. i think old and dirty looks better in this situation.

I know nothing about construction but wouldn't leaving all of those old areas dirty and mildewed eventually effect the quality of the stadium. Wouldn't maintaining those areas(which is probably too late) or renovating them make the stadium last longer?

Most of these rooms are used for storage. The time and money required would be absolutely ridiculous.
