I've been to the Azteca for a US/Mexico match.
Most surreal experience I've ever been a part of. Also probably the most unsafe I've ever felt.
With that said, in terms of this country, nothing is better than a full and engaged Tiger Stadium crowd... problem is that we hardly get that anymore because everyone leaves before half.
You can not compare a ticket to a riot to a fan experience at most any college stadium, much less LSU.
You had an experience of near riot not atmosphere.
Take that soccer crap and flush it where there fan experience belongs.

We should do this once a game, during a time out.

I downvot3d you but you are correct. Fandom to that extreme is idolatry. I hate the pregame where they say that over the speakers.

"It's probably the only time in my life I was intimidated by the crowd, " Lott said. "A lot of great players have played in that stadium, but I don't know if any team has walked into that stadium and dealt with what we went through. From the time we landed to the time we left, I don't know if a team has ever gone through that."
...
"Every one of us left that night saying 'that was a game, ' but I still think about it that way, " he said. "I haven't been in an event like that at any level of football. Out of all the games I've ever played in, I've never been in anything like that, and I am including my Super Bowls in that assessment."

1. FIELD TURF. That is the 1st thing I'd do if I were in charge. After 1 game the field looks like shite. In fact, if that picture is up to date the field already looks like shite and a game hasn't even been playe
You're one of those guys that would bitch about a bad lie at Augusta.

Is there another SEC stadium that's never had artificial turf?
It seems like most did in the late 70s/early 80s.

I love Tiger Stadium, loved my time attending LSU, graduating from there, and I still love attending games.
However, anyone who thinks Tiger Stadium is on par with other major college/pro stadiums is either in denial or they have simply not left Baton Rouge often in their lives and are ignorant to things that exist in the outside world.
I've been to just about every major city in the US and have visited many stadiums that are 10 times nicer than Tiger Stadium.
If you think that Tiger Stadium is in the same category as many other major college & pro stadiums as far as amenities, technology, and seating, then I'd have to assume that you're a Baton Rouge LSU tshirt fan that never attended LSU, have not seen much of the world other than where your F-150 pickup truck can take you, and live vicariously through the success of LSU athletics.

red star.
Because people literally riot there. What happens there isn't sports, it's chaos. Not even organized chaos.

Soccer is frickin gay dude. Who gives a shite? Before you say the normal soccer fig response of "its the most popular sport on the planet" take into consideration that most of the planet is frickin gay too. Damn, soccer figs. Screw soccer.

he was saying that it looks likes it's made up of different pieces to form the whole.
4 different stadiums.
North, South, East and West all look totally different. (Like Frankenstein was made up of different body parts)

When people say shite like this, it isn't so much about tearing other people down as it is building themselves up. You must feel incredibly inadequate and at the same time incredibly self-important. That's a deadly pair of personality flaws, that usually combine to create a huge douchebag of a human being.
I guess what I'm trying to say is no one is impressed, and you're a fricking a-hole.

No stadium in the country, outside of the SEC...college or pro...has as many suites as Tiger Stadium. Few stadiums...college or pro...have as many club seats as Tiger Stadium.
No stadium, anywhere in the world, has as many exits in the stands as Tiger Stadium. There's over 100...116 IIRC. Which means fans in Tiger Stadium spend less time going to and from their seats, and restrooms and concessions are easier to get to during the game.
Observe in the photo above how the sidelines run straight up and down the field. Few stadiums feature that. There is no dead space at the 50 yard line like some stadiums...
Which should trigger our Alabama alter here...
There are a couple of other stadiums with more suites...exactly two when Arkansas finishes their expansion...but those two feature smaller suites with fewer outside seats. And in some cases, no outside seats at all.
Simply put, it's the best combination of suites, club seating, and general seating of any stadium, period.

Northeast corner, right next to the top of the lower portal/exit… our seats, and the best seat in the house for Nix to Twillie.

What are five college football stadiums that are "10 times nicer" than Tiger Stadium?
What does "nice" even mean in this context?
