If you want an on time fly by, call in the fighters, they will be on time every time.

Does putting this info on the net not jeopardize your brother's safety?

The C-17 has an on-board mission computer that can get you within 5 seconds of a TOT...technology is a beautiful thing and not reserved for just fighters.

This type of flight will get some legitimate training for some guys I'm sure....so it's not a complete waste of taxpayer resources. Rest assured the DoD is wasting your money on much bigger projects...think F-35!!

Come on.. What would you rather fly a c-17 or an f-35. Which one would get more attention at an air show.

yeh, these things are huge, i live on the beach basically in the flight path of the gulfport airport and when this thing takes off its a whole different scenario, shite starts to rumble!
The C-130s and C-130 gunships do trainging b/w Keesler and gulfport airport along with some f-16s, and are loud, but not like that c-17...

That's about as fast as Jim Hawthorne going from Zephyr Stadium to Auburn during the baseball season.

Will anyone be able to post some pics on here? I've seen the ones taken from the helicopters a few years back and those were awesome.

And thanks to those guys who serve us in the military!

Ask him if he could fly over Wampus Cat(also known as the "WamperDome) Stadium on his way to B.R. It should be on his way. TIA.

What does that mean?

I'd like to see the flyover so should I go around 3:30pm (ETA: 2:44pm eastern time) as Peeper's said?

Bump for the eta...i was about to head home from work here at LSU but I may just stay a little longer...

ETA: Holy crap, I just did a google search for c-17 and apparently they have landed one of those on an aircraft carrier!
