Several of the stucco bldgs on campus look the same way. LSU can't afford to pressure wash those bldgs and it looks bad. Water from the roof runs down forming black streaks, algae growth, etc...

LSU can't afford to pressure wash those bldgs ?? Mudminnow I agree with most of your comments. But not this, it's called maintenance and LSU just fails to follow through til is starts looking like it does. Then wants the raise prices and says its because we need to - to keep up ... to keep winning ... or some baseless statement.

Maintenance is built in any budget, but LSU apparently forgets about it all the time.

If you look at the West Side and East Side of TS, the concrete is bare, not painted like the NEZ. I wouldn't be surprise if LSU left the concrete on the SEZ expansion bare as well.

Frankly what we have is a Frankenstein edition of Tiger Stadium as we speak. Sad Sad Sad ...

I'm sorry, but placing arches up top to hide the Fema Trailer Park design is a no brainer. The more I look at it, the worst it gets.

Hoping someone steps up with power and gets the arches done.

I don't think I will but thanks for the offer. Feel free to not read our discussions about it if they bother you that much.

I wonder what they are going for with green, blue, and red lights in the lockers. Seems like the colors are random unless there is some sort of signal they are going for.

They're LED and can be any color...maybe for the visiting locker room it will light up in that teams colors??

FWIW, I drove by Tiger Stadium yesterday around sunset, and the stadium looks REALLY good from the outside. The light grays in the SEZ expansion matched the upper decks, etc very well. It'll look great on TV for evening games.

I was in the stadium yesterday in the NEZ at field level. None of the pictures I have seen did the expansion justice. When you see it or yourself in the stadium, you will be blown away.

The Welcome to Death Valley sign was completely awesome, and I think it will be one of the most recognizable images of LSU in a few years.

It does look good from the inside. It's the outside that everyone is bitching about.

I understand being impatient, but finishes are the last thing you do because you don't want them to get fricked up and have to redo them. I don't understand why you want to go ahead and consider it a monumental failure before you know what it actually looks like.

It really does blow my mind at how incapable LSU is at power washing some of its beautiful buildings on campus

The LSU facilities department absorbed huge staff cuts thanks to Jindal and the state legislature. Supposedly they don't even have enough people to mow the grass and tend all of the flower beds. Very sad that our beautiful university can't be showcased at its best.

It's always looked like that when it comes to the buildings looking dirty on the outside so what's the other excuse?
