Is this real life? You're blaming Alleva for LSU's seemingly perpetual inability to take care of it's facilities?

The LSU facilities department absorbed huge staff cuts thanks to Jindal and the state legislature. Supposedly they don't even have enough people to mow the grass and tend all of the flower beds. Very sad that our beautiful university can't be showcased at its best.

Very true, several facility service depts got axed. They no longer grow their own trees, flowers, etc..A simple maintenance request takes weeks and depending on the fix, they now need an account number to fix university property.

The mower group lost nearly 1/2 of its crew.

However, some bldgs havent been pressure washed in 8-10 yrs and they are very visible from the stadium.

The Welcome to Death Valley sign was completely awesome, and I think it will be one of the most recognizable images of LSU in a few years.

I think you're right. ESPN will love to show that as a part of montages and as B-Roll during games.
