Without change, would we have transitioned away from Miles and won a NC in 2019, or any of the sports really. We’ve won NC from coaches all in their first few years in multiple sports now including women’s basketball.

In other words, without those unsatisfied people, we would be the next perpetually good but not great program because the coach would have too much safety.

Just the women.

Although criticism is warranted.

It’s okay to be skeptical, but to turn on him after one game would be absurd.

This x 100. I will say Offensive Coaching needs to get much better. The play calls and Scheme was atrocious.

Losing the opening game shouldn’t be cause to turn against him.

Winning the West in year one with such little talent, then having an entire offseason with new recruits coming in, returning 60%-70% of the team who won the West a year ago, then putting that dogshit of a product on the field with an entire offseason to prepare is unacceptable and is cause for me to, at least temporarily, turn on him. There is zero reason this year’s team should’ve been so woefully unprepared and even less reason for the coaches to not take FG points on the road where they should have. I’m only a fan but that entitles me to be pissed right now.

Exactly. This shithole doesn’t represent the entirety of LSU fans and it sure doesn’t represent the “knowledgeable” fans, even though the rant as a whole has delusions of grandeur that it does.

He’s making almost 100 million dollars to coach football. For that price, the fans should expect much better than what we got in game 1.

Expecting more and completely giving up and turning on a coach are 2 entirely different things.

I said we would learn a lot about him from this game and we have. None of it is good. What will happen if LSU loses 5 this year? God forbid 6.

That would suck and be a letdown but if we're going to fire a coach the 1st time he has a year that doesn't meet expectations, that's a very quick way to lose our status as a top 5 program we've had over the past 2 decades.

That simply won't work. That doesn't mean we should be happy with a season not meeting expectations, it's just silly to call for a firing immediately the very 1st time we don't meet expectations.

Ultimately he's gonna be held responsible but our coordinators seemed to get out schemed and lack the ability to make in game adjustments if the original game plan starts to fall apart. It just appears we run really simple base formations with just a few different looks out of each. We become extremely predictable after a few series on both sides of the ball...

Bingo!

Sad thing is, most of the people really bitching defended Ed O when he lost to Troy ( a far more embarrassing loss)

I just dont understand the logic of bringing up the failures of the previous coach to justify the current coach's failures just make it seem like its "okay".

The logic is that it's absurd to give up on a coach at the very 1st sign of adversity on a relatively small sample size.

2023 FSU game is the first sign of adversity huh? That is certainly a take.

IMO, what we saw on the field Sunday night is completely unacceptable. CBK embarrassed himself and the entire program in front of the entire country in prime time. A more embarrassing loss isn't coming to mind.

Need to be concern, we have repeated issues from last season and this echos to lack of coaching. If anything they have regressed.

We've lost 3 of 4, that's the 1st sign of true adversity, and that's a small sample size.

No sane person is calling for him to be fired, but the honeymoon is over. I love Brian Kelly as much as the next guy, but the performance last Sunday was pathetic in every area. And when it is that bad, the blame rightfully falls on the coach.

3 beat downs out of the last 4 games spanning multiple seasons is "one" sign of adversity. Never change dude.
