Nationally televised parade. UCF band will be there representing their school. Massive recruiting opportunity missed. It's a big deal.

I assume you are talking about band recruiting....cause I'm pretty sure no 18 year old recruit even knows the Fiesta Bowl has a parade.

Nearly every thread you’ve started in the last two years is a slight at the Tiger Band.

Show me where on the doll where Damon Talley touched you...

There is a nationally renowned marching band contest associated with the bowl. The HS bands in this contest also participate in the parade. This is a recruiting opportunity for the Tiger Band that will be missed. Sad.

I can think of a lot mainly financial....could be other commitments to our fans at the bowl. There are many good reasons.

It's what marching bands do.

Not really. I don’t count marching from the fricking band hall to the Stadium. That’s not the same thing as marching in a holiday or bowl parade. In 4 years in Tiger Band, I marched in exactly one. There was a tiny one for the Peach Bowl in 97 that took less than an hour.

The band spends most of its time playing in pep rallies and at alumni events on bowl trips. Add in a daily practice and there’s not a lot of extra time. At least that’s how it used to go.

I know. I just don’t care enough to start inconsequential threads about tiger band like the OP. He’s obviously got some issue/vendetta with them.

They are not leaving Baton Rouge in time to be there for the parade. I think that is a choice.

The shows they've done the last couple of years have been 100% better than anything that they did since Linda left.....now maybe he has nothing to do with that but I suspect at very least he hired the person that does.

Which means it is a choice since the bowl pays for everything.

Well, then it’s pretty clearly a money issue. Talk to Joe Alleva.
