Where are you seeing $170/ticket?

We went in 03 for our senior trip. I don't think I spent $300 the whole weekend we were there.

The champagne of beers, "strippers," and Cal State Fullerton hotties.

Texas-Miami set the old attendance record that weekend, I believe.

Ticket prices are always the highest 5-7 days out. The nearer the game time, the more the prices will come down. Got to have guts to take the chance though.

That is what I think. Ticket sellers have to get rid of what they have left.

I’m not willing to pay for a hotel when I don’t need it. As much as I hate to not be at the game Saturday night, I just can’t justify paying that. I would need four tickets and that price alone would be half my hotel stay for the entire duration, assuming we’d go that far. I think we might head up there starting this weekend and get there in time for Monday’s game. We’re going to stay outside of Omaha and drive in for each game and then as teams are eliminated, maybe try to get a hotel closer to the stadium.

Glad I was able to go to every game in Rosenblatt in 2009 with that cheap arse GA booklet before it moved to the new stadium and instagram fans took over.

Fire hardened fans baked into the berm waiting to get in to GA. Cheap tix but you paid for it in that direct sun heat. Good ole days. Went to the final 4 games LSU played and maybe spent $40 on tix. Now you betta open the check book

Hotel, tix, flights for 2 arriving early sat am departing monday. Cheapest tix, comfort suites and flights $3000 all in

I’ve never done this at TD Ameritrade, but at Rosenblatt we would get in ticket office line early early every morning… like 3-4am early…. As they held a set amount of tickets each day for sale to general public. Had some good times in that line

I don’t even know if they do that anymore at the new stadium.

225Tyga is a moron. Cheapest on Seatgeek for LSU/Ark are currently $279/ea before fees

And that’s in Sec 323

Right now you are dealing with "conservative" buyers. That means people who don't want to spend the money for travel to and lodging in Omaha without being assured of a ticket to the game. Thus, they will pay the premium for that peace of mind.

If you are willing to go without assurance you will have a ticket to the game, you will probably be able to find tickets for a bit cheaper later in the week than they are now.

Also, remember, while the Saturday night game will likely be the most popular game for the locals, it's also the last game of the first round. That means many in the fanbases of 6 other teams (even if relatively small) may not want to attend the LSU/Ark game with their teams having already played, and would be willing to sell their tickets to that game (if they have them)

Gotta pay these professional athletes somehow. NIL is an enemy of college athletics.
