She was mugged by Tennessee players on the last trip down court. We were robbed.

She threw a punch at me during a pick up game at the rec center back in the day. I could only laugh. She liked to mix it up with the dudes. Gotta respect that.

One of the best 9&10 yr old basketball players I have ever seen, male or female. That being said she was same height then as she was when she played at LSU.

I don't think many LSU women's basketball greats are talked about much to begin with, but missing free throws in a final 4 semifinal that would have probably won the game and advanced LSU to the championship game doesn't help her case much. It was a long time ago and my memory may be a bit hazy but she was at the free throw line shooting 2 with like 8 seconds to go and LSU up by 1. She misses both and Tenn drives the ball down, takes a long shot and then gets the rebound and puts it back in for the win. There were a lot of fails in that game, but people have a tendency to remember defining moments. It still pisses me off they let them get the damn rebound. Neither LSU men nor women have ever gotten to the championship game. Several final 4's, but never a win. This tradition needs to be destroyed!!!

the goat era

LSU actually had 5 consecutive seasons of Final Fours, encompassing three different head coaches. The Lady Tigers were relevant then, and...fun to watch.

Really, the era from 2001 to 2007 were the halcyon days of LSU athletics. The one weak link was baseball under Smoke, and even his teams went to 2 world series.

People love to crap on women's basketball these days, and much of it is unfortunately justified, but they really were fun to watch back then.

It still makes me sick that we didn't win even one NC during the Final Four streak. Those national semifinals were dumbfounding.

Well, that's DEFINITELY not true. The first year they made the final four, was probably their least talented team during that era. However, the team that made it in Temeka's final season was loaded, talent-wise.
