Well, it's assault and battery with a non lethal weapon sooooo yes they were arrested and rightfully so.
It's not about fragility, it's about an innocent person walking to class or their car or wherever the frick they please and getting shot at. In that moment this persons(s) weren't expecting to be run up on and fired upon. They don't know it's a paintball gun, they just know that someone shot them. That can be traumatic for some.
This is orientation week at LSU and the victims may have been children or the elderly.

I got kicked out of Kirby smith for a clear air soft pistol about 3 weeks before finals second semester, freshman year.
It was just sitting in my room, I didn't point/shoot at anyone.
I don't think it's ok to go around shooting people with paintball guns or anything. That shite would terrify me if it hit me unexpectedly walking down the street. But there are so many worse things these guys could be doing.

1. This is unacceptable behavior.
2. It appears to be a childish prank and not a serious crime.
3. Wade needs to impress upon these guys that they cannot play for LSU if they are knuckleheads.
4. These guys need to be disciplined in such a way that they either quit the team because they can't handle it or do anything to stay so they won't have to go through that again.
5. After they are disciplined eveyone on the team will know who's boss, and knuckleheads need not apply or stick around.
