Other major schools have made a run at him the last several weeks to take the ST Coordinator gig and why not. Those teams are actually searching for talent and value young rising stars and want to poach that talent from other programs when the opportunity presents itself.

He has had a young career that’s already filled with successes. Based on what you have seen, why wood we not promote him to the Special Teams HC spot. That’s where I am at. We need to quit hiring these oldie but goodies and let the youth step into that role.

What really gets me is the small mindedness of Bebe. He lets Munoz go. He lets Brady go. Thank God last year Coach Chris wasn’t quite at the point in his career to receive things yet. Truth be told he is a Louisiana guy. A local prodigy. The best kept secret on this team. Joe Brady stole all the glory because we were absolutely begging for offense the last 15 years.

I have seen this movie before. We let kids walk and other schools take our talent. Bebe has been lazy as hell keeping talent obviously. He is going to be the first domino to fall. We need to pay this man. I don’t know how many times I can say things. Special Teams is not a sexy topic but bro have y’all seen us on defense.

Coach Chris signed the number one punter from West Monroe. The dude can change games. He has a piss rocket for a leg. We have to conserve what we have.

What realistically should be we be thinking about paying him if we don’t make him the Coordinator to keep him here?

My thots. An offer of 450k with incentives. Nothing major but if you have guys up for the Guy and Groza every year you need to have that laced into the deal.

I read every single word of that and have no clue who you're talking about? We have a coach named "Chris" is all I got out of that.

We have a Special Teams HC spot? What does that entail?

Now he's going to be a coordinator? Coordinator of what?

Because Special Teams is the one unit this season that has been pretty good and Greg McMahon has been great since he got to LSU.

Absolutely. Heard him at the LHSAA clinic. Guy knows every nook & cranny from Benton to Grand Isle.

He is the on the field special teams coordinator while what’s his face is up in the booth. The kids want to play for him. He had a key role in signing Peyton Todd, the West Monroe product in the 2021 class.

So he recruits, goes on visits, and is the on the field coach of the special teams for the Louisiana State University Fightin Tigers of LSU.

Every nook and cranny. Try from West Monroe to Lafite LA. From falling into Arkansas to jumping into the Gulf of Mexico. This guy is a fricking stud.

This OP is going in a lot of different directions. First off, I'm assuming you are talking about Chris Forestier?
quote:

He has had a young career that’s already filled with successes.

What are these successes you speak of?

quote:

Special Teams HC

What?

quote:

He lets Munoz go. He lets Brady go.

You honestly don't think he tried at all to keep them?

quote:

Thank God last year Coach Chris wasn’t quite at the point in his career to receive things yet.

What things do you speak of?

quote:

Joe Brady stole all the glory

This is the best line of them all. So you're saying that the greatest offense, production wise, in NCAA history stole the glory from the kicking game?

quote:

I don’t know how many times I can say things

As many times as you want, I guess. Depending on what those things are.

quote:

We let kids walk and other schools take our talent. Bebe has been lazy as hell keeping talent obviously.

Kind of taking a left turn now.

quote:

Special Teams is not a sexy topic but bro have y’all seen us on defense.

Yes, but how is this related to Coach Chris? I thought he was a special teams guy.

quote:

Coach Chris signed the number one punter from West Monroe.

Analysts can't take off-campus recruiting visits.

quote:

make him the Coordinator

I thought you said he was the Special Teams HC

quote:

My thots.

Them hoes over there?

quote:

An offer of 450k with incentives.

Current Special Teams Coordinator makes 432K and he has experience.

quote:

if you have guys up for the Guy and Groza every year

Do we though?

Recruiting great talent and producing on the field. Cade York’s improvement. ZVR’s improvement. These guys are the very best thing about our team this year.

So he recruits, goes on visits, and is the on the field coach of the special teams

So he's in violation of NCAA rules?

You want to know how the sausage is made. Coach Chris doesn’t sign kids immediately you have to work years to get the kids to sign with us. That goes for every coach and every position BTW but I am sure you already knew that

That’s what I believe. I know that and he is the co special teams coordinator but he has not been promoted financially into that role yet which is why I am worried he will leave for greater pastures a la Munoz and Brady.

We don’t even try anymore. We offered zero resistance with those guys leaving. We can’t continue to do that and expect other schools not to poach our talent.

Dude is an analyst. I'm not bashing him in the least, I honestly never heard of the guy until this thread made me look him up.

And yes I know how recruiting works and analysts cannot go on off campus visits or directly coach players on the field. That's not my opinion, that is the rule.

Coach Chris has been speaking with other SEC West foes about becoming their ST Coordinator. If O cant keep him around, the melt here will be ALL TIME. Losing Brady and Munoz still stings but I do not want to see what out special teams look like next year without Coach Chris.

Get it together BeBe!!!

Bro he has spent 8 years as an ST recruiting analyst.

You guys understand corporate America. Who the hell stays up watching YouTube videos of Cole Tracy kicking at a DIII school. Certainly not Bebe. Definitely not the 80 years old guy up in the booth. That’s the youth and energy. My dad doesn’t even know what YouTube is.

They took credit for signing Tracy & York etc but as you well know that’s all done at the analyst level. That’s how he got started. Then he worked into the on field coordinating.

Look LSU pays for old man river to sit in the booth with binoculars to oversee things. We pay him 400k to do that.

All I am saying is let’s do Coach Chris for not a dime less than 320k with incentives.

Dude trust me the website is outdated. All you wood have to do is look at the telecast. He is 3 feet away from Bebe. He is exactly what I said he is and he has done exactly what I said he has done.

That’s how they are set up. The old guys can’t connect with the players like young coaches can. He is the guy behind the signings. Analyst. You act like that was bad. That’s how every coach starts.

He has had a hand in every major signing the last 3 years ever since Bebe took over.
