I think LSU has covered every game so far. I usually don't bet for or against LSU because my judgement is skewed.

But this team seems like a winner. The backups are so good and continue to push when they come in, so there isn't a let down.

I think it is close until about 5 to 10 mins left.

Belmont will have a white boy or two who catch fire from the 3 and then we wear them out with our length as the game progresses.

LSU 78 - 63 Belmont

Have you ever seen Belmont? The majority of their team is "white boys" who can catch fire from 3

Will probably play out similar to the liberty game

Which proves my point that a "white boy or two will catch fire from 3" is probable

This lsu team has a lot of maturing to do. Despite our inferior competition we have yet to demonstrate a complete game. We look very sloppy at times on offense, and shot selection can be poor. We also seem to have trouble finishing at the rim with open layups and put backs. Yes we generate a lot of steals on defense but that comes with a lot of fouls. Other teams get into the bonus too soon. We will out physical a bunch of teams, but experienced, disciplined teams that shoot well will absolutely beat us. Belmont can easily be one of those teams.

I think Wade gives them freedom early to see if the 3 is going to fall. If it isn't, that's when LSU starts attacking the rim. You usually know how Days is going to shoot from three after his first 3 attempts.

Still, LSU is in the top 20 in offensive efficiency and ppg. They are shooting 49%. It can look ugly and disjointed at times, but Wade's teams just find ways to score.

That is true. I'm certain Wade would like to reduce the foul number. But, if somewhat increased fouls are the byproduct of a significantly greater number of steals and forced turnovers, you take it (to an extent). Wade's defensive approach isn't to guard the full shot clock in a slow half court game. It's to create turnovers. So LSU MUST get them to be successful. In 18-19 (the only somewhat average defensive team Wade has had here) LSU was 8th nationally in steals per possession. The last two seasons they were awful in that category (particularly last season). This year they are currently #1 in the country. That stat is the single biggest reason why LSU has also started well in defensive efficiency. It can be frustrating at time when LSU misses on the steal and gives up open shot after open shot, but that is the way they are going to play it.

2 extremely different styles of play between Liberty and Belmont.

Liberty wants to slow you down and plays slow offensively.

Belmont is pretty much the exact opposite. Their tempo is higher than ours through their first 4 games.

Belmont makes 9-10 3s per game on 24-26 attempts.

we will probably cover and win by at least 10. However, they will hang around past half time and then we clamp down on some like 20-0 run or something. Of course until we break it open butt pirate and the other wade hating retards will scream bloody murder.

Undefeated ats, we’ll hold Belmonts high powered O to 70 with the way we’re playing D. I think we score 80+ and double the spread AGAIN. I’m predicting we’re 5-0 against the spread after tonight.

Yep this is a round 1 ncaa tournament type game. The big guy gives us a chance to see if Efton is ready for some of the SEC bigs (Castleton).. I think he has played very well this season but he has got to stay out of foul trouble in this one.

Yeah, I would stay away from this one.

Several of the top teams in the SEC started out on fire in week one. In week two you saw some mid-majors challenge them. See South Alabama at Alabama; Northern Iowa at Arkansas, Ohio at Kentucky.

Belmont is looked at as probably an 11-13 seed type NCAAT team. This is a game LSU should win at HOME. But I'm not expecting it to be easy.

That’s exactly what I thought I heard on a conference by conference breakdown before the season. Seems like a lot of these smaller schools have been giving larger schools fits more than usual this year. Anytime I see a line that opens +4.5 to +5.5 on a visiting team that tells me right there oddsmakers think that team is a live dog. LSU can possibly go out and crush this team tonight but the oddsmakers are saying it’s very possible this could be a LSU loss if the Tigers don’t bring it.
