1. Notre Dame gave him a raise

2. It's hilarious to watch Notre Dame criticize BK's offensive approach right after you hired his offensive coordinator

About that...

LSU - one year left on his contract worth $1.5 mil

Notre Dame - $2.1 (currently the highest paid OC in CFB)

Hey Mirer, go back to the leprechaun board and leave us alone. We've had enough of your "told you so" remarks.

In other words, frick off.

The number of no-talent, never played, arse-clowns, like you, on this site since the last game is amazingly sad!

i’ll post here what i wrote in another thread:

i think the following is both true and fair

1. Kelly fricked up with his defensive hires. Had he gotten that right then last year is a playoff team and nobody is questioning him.

2. While he did frick up, he didn’t double down on that frick up and made the necessary changes.

3. In the first 18 months or of his tenure LSU was behind on NIL and that has somewhat impacted the upperclassmen talent level on this team. LSU is also not behind on NIL at this point.

None of that is to say he will definitely win a championship here, but it’s not time to write the whole thing off yet either. There are enough recent history examples of slower builds working out (Dabo, Harbaugh) to let this play out a bit more.

In the future, we need to structure these contracts based on performance.

And you will end up with shite like Florida has had the past 15 years.

You don't give an old declining stabilizer a 10 year 100 million dollar contract

Then you would have ended up with a complete shite show hire like Florida has.

No the real issue is the small fraction of this fan base that thinks every year we should win the championship (even though that’s impossible). Even Alabama didn’t win it EVERY year and they had arguably the best college coach that will likely ever exist on top of being considered the “bell cow” and “protected” because of it.

It’s just completely unrealistic to think we should be in championship contention every year.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing, but we have seen flashes. Going for two against Alabama, going for it on fourth often and I remember Nabers coming down with some big 4th down catches that seemed ballsy.

Fair point. Kirby took 6 seasons to get it done at UGA and that dude is an absolute animal

Kelly screwed over Denbrock at ND when he brought in Sanford. Sloan was waaaaayyy too similar a situation. plus he legitimately loves ND and has fam up here.

but Kelly otherwise nailed his other coordinator hires

Ahem…. do you even House, baw?

If he has Baker last year, we quite possibly play in the final 4.

We should have won the USC game. I put most of the blame on the players not performing in key situations that would have won the game by more than seven points. Kelley’s after game press conference was solid, leaving me will full confidence this team can and will finish strong and make the playoffs. My biggest concern after the game was realizing how important it is to have a dual QB skill set in today’s CF world. It also seemed the high number of penalties came from being the first game with two new coordinators and adjusting from Jayden Daniel’s style of play to a pocket passer/run offense.

I support Kelley’s decision to go for the win with the two point conversion against Alabama as well as going for it on fourth down against USC. He gave the players the chance to win both games.

Stability.

We now have adults in charge of the program. Last year 9/10 top prospects in the state signed with LSU. BK now understands the importance of prioritizing Louisiana guys or LSU ties amongst players and coaches.

We have elite coaches on both sides of the LOS.
