why was it bad specifically. it was more or less the same bill.
how so? it was basically the same bill repubs already passed while trump was in office…
“The bill is nearly identical to H.R. 2, but removes the mandate for employers to verify a worker’s immigration status and employment eligibility, and includes about $9 billion in grant programs for border states.
Texas Republican Chip Roy agreed that the bill would not become law, and expressed his frustration that the GOP would not try to leverage foreign aid money for it.
“Republicans continue to campaign on securing the border and then refuse to use any leverage to actually secure the border,” Roy said. “We should get it signed into law but the only way to force Democrats to do it is to use leverage.”

never said that. was talking about its peak and where we are now.
my man if you want have a conversation don't link to propaganda. and yes both parties suck. anyway, here’s reality from the horse’s mouth:

ND fan here. Kelly is a very good coach, just not a championship caliber coach at this level. His narcissism wont allow him to recognize his shortcomings and the adjustments necessary to be one. if you’re a narcissist at least be a hard working one.
He also struggles to connect w today’s athlete as was obvious w florida. daniel’s blowing him off at draft. etc. ND players did not like him either. michael mayer was ready to leave for bama until BK left.
LSU is LSU and he should win 9-11 games every year. but like ND will fall short in the big games.

sure. lets. why was there inflation?
we were coming our of a global pandemic that f’d everything. add trump and biden’s stimulus, energy went nuts (why biden opened up pumping more gas now than anyone in the history of the world), then add corporations raising prices way over inflation to screw us all. circumstance matters of the why. im just glad we’re back to where we are now. whatever the reason.

yep.
“ The measure is separate and not part of a package of three supplemental funding bills containing aid for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan as well as another so-called sidecar bill dealing with TikTok. ”
“ But congressional Republicans walked away from it early this year at the urging of GOP presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump, who was not supportive of the bill because he is centering his reelection campaign on immigration.
The chair of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, argued that the bill “isn’t quite H.R. 2.”

what about the bill dis you not like? i would love to hear your explanation. PS it was a bipartisan that was gonna pass.
“This proposal would have had almost unanimous Republican support if it weren’t for Donald Trump,” the Republican senator said.

im a facts man. inflation was 8% in 2021. now it’s 2.6%.
im no democrat, but my man republicans refused to pass the border bill so trump could campaign on it.

Your fav ND fan here. it’s very unlikely but *lloyd Christmas voice* there’s always a chance.
If it does, and they go internal, ND would most likely make Golden HC, and promote mickens to DC. The other internal HC candidate would be Deland McCullough.
PS if denbrock moves on it will be in the north.

Anyway Meadows value is almost entirely in his upside/ceiling. He’ll need time to fig it out. Arguably the biggest boom or bust WR in class.

My opinion it was not the OC play calling in the second half. BK said at half time we were going to run the ball, bet he told the OC to run the ball.
there’s a reason BK fired chip long as OC after going 33-6 with the 13th best offense (PPG) in 2019 and replaced him with a 25 year old tommy rees. control. chip wanted to change some necessary things — like a real WR coach. BK wasn’t about that.

BK did it to Denbrock at ND in ‘15 too with Mike Sanford. he was not gonna get played again by BK.

Source: An ND insider. Bryan Driscoll. He is why I was able to tell ya’ll that Meadows was coming to LSU a week before he announced and why. BK has been trying to leave ND at various time since after 2012. when the nfl wasnt interested he started to coast. recruiting tanked. look at the drop off after 2013.
that is what BK said why he was leaving. easier to recruit, better facilities (you have a chef and kitchen in your facility lol.) perhaps he wasnt aware of your NIL reality while he was signing $100MM deal. at Nd NIL has strings. like grades and charity work, just fyi. (hopefully getting a little looser rules.)
i mean saban is 100 and has said how much he hates the portal, etc. and georgia taking the crown… it wasnt guaranteed but something to consider for him imo. and i agree, in his head going to the SEC was an easier path. not that i necessarily agree.

Kelly’s thoughts. (FYI ND AD told him he wasn’t getting another pay raise):
1) SEC only conference to get multiple teams in 4 team. LSU just won w O. How cant he?!? (napoleon complex)
2) easier to recruit/better facilities/invested Booster NIL $$ w no strings like at ND
3) Saban was retiring soon. beat bama and youre in the SEC title game and a playoff invite. even more the case w expansion.
4) ND’s schedule got much harder in 2022
5) QB room was a mess at ND
just some thoughts

the sec expanding killed what he thought would be an easier path. at least he didn’t run and hide like Riley to the PAC12 when he saw his SEC future, i guess.
Kelly screwed over Denbrock at ND when he brought in Sanford. Sloan was waaaaayyy too similar a situation. plus he legitimately loves ND and has fam up here.
