It’s fair to say that the Tigers’ defense has been “spotty”
But they're peaking at the right time. The last 10 quarters have been really good. Or you could say the last 5 games, minus the 1st half against UF, have been great.

Will the staff come up with a scheme to deal with a Tua led offense?
quote:With respect to the defense/Tua...not entirely. They'll get their points, I don't have too much confidence we'll really contain them.
You guys feeling confident?
But I am confident that our offense can outpace them as well as confident that Burrow can protect the ball moreso than Tua in this matchup.

When you chunk a ball you put a lot of force on your front foot. Not wanting to put weight on his front ankle is going to make him under-throw balls. I wouldn't be surprised if we got a couple INTs from this.
I like this.

Every game, the defense came out in zone. This was a learning curve. In the 2nd half, for the most part, they wen man. I think we saw the light click the Miss St. game. The last 2 games have been very good on defense. I think a mix of zone and man can cause Bama some issues.

I am cautiously optimistic. For the most part, LSU has kept the Bama offense in check last couple of years. Last year, the offense couldn't move the ball causing the defense to stay on the field too long. You can't give Bama to many opportunities.

Hi, Mr. Gump. Did you read the post? Evidently not.

At least our secondary. We're only holding opponents to ~97% of the passing averages. If we do that vs Bama we're going to bleed a lot of points.
If you are good against the run (and LSU is) or jump out to a lead, then teams will have to throw more on you. This leads to higher passing totals, but doesn’t necessarily mean your pass defense is bad. I would wager that most teams have thrown the ball more than they normally do when playing is. This gives the false impression that our pass defense is weak.

Hmmm, Vanderbilt comes to mind( and I don’t think they’re quite as good as Bama).
