I'm getting this from someone that knows someone, so take it for what it is worth. Also, it doesn't clarify anything, he is still undecided according to this source.

Dad favors Alabama, Mom wants him to stay home and play for the good guys. Brian sees A&M as the easiest path to playing and playing early. I know some smart arses will say that means he is afraid of competition. I disagree, it is logical thinking and he is using his head. I'm sure his parents have an influence, but ultimately it sounds like Brian will be his own decision maker.

There are pros and cons to all the programs and they are all good choices and I think Brian realizes there is no bad choice and I think he is still open.

No offense to Jaray Jenkins and Jontre Kirklin, but Thomas should be able to start day 1 over those guys.

At this point I’ve written him off if we get him great if not no worries LSU loaded with WR talent and Oline is much bigger priority right now

Brian Thomas Jr. is a National WR recruit from Walker, LA.

He compares favorably to the type of WR Terrace Marshall is.

Having momma on our side is a plus. Momma usually wins when there are differing opinions.

Thomas wouldn’t start over Deion Smith, the #3 overall WR in last years class didn’t play at all for Jimbo.

We just signed 4 receivers, why in the world would we take another one?

My bad, I thought I was on recruiting board.

Alabama has more going for it than the money bag. It is the top program in the country. The money bag doesn't hurt, we all like money. They don't need the money, so it isn't a must have.

As one poster said, we don't really need another WR. I think Brian realizes that as well. He also realizes at Alabama he might not play until he is a Junior. If I'm not mistaken, didn't Devontae Smith wait.

I actually have respect for the young man. It sounds like he is making a practical, intelligent decision and is man enough to make his own decision.

I’d prefer a 3 star OL over Thomas

We definitely need OL over a WR but Thomas is good enough that Saban is still recruiting him with a full class. That says enough right there. I good question is who is Saban going to tell to gray shirt if most of the class is signed already. I will have to research that.
