How far this team goes depends on the front court. Knox is obviously the best big that we have, but she is a freshman. Joyner is a solid addition as well. Both Knox and Joyner lack elite size. Koval has elite size but has been inconsistent. She has got to bang people with her body and finish at the goal. She is an important piece of the puzzle going forward.

Can’t wait for the South Carolina game at the PMAC. The game 2 years ago was filled to the brim. People standing the whole game on the concourse. Extremely loud the entire game. One of the loudest games I’ve ever been to in the PMAC.

I never heard what happened to Gilbert. Is she hurt or just off the team? There were some games last year where she took over when others were struggling. Not sure hers is a team game, which is the chemistry of this team moreso than one on one talent, but I thought she had a role and was very talented. It may be better without her but just never heard what happened.

If you haven’t watched this team, you need to tune in. Some have claimed this team isn’t fun to watch tells me they haven’t watched any games.

She has a difficult family situation she is dealing with and has Kim’s full support in taking a break. It is not known if she will be able to return.

1. Texas WBB is better than Carolina this season, IMO. Texas already beat Carolina on a neutral court. Both Carolina and Texas play defense waaaaaay better than LSU does at this point.
2. LSU plays Texas TWICE. Our biggest home game will be Sunday, Jan 11 at 2pm versus Texas. We host Carolina on Saturday, Feb 14.
3. LSU starts SEC play versus five straight ranked teams. UK game on Jan 1 will be a BIG home game.

Appreciate the update. Hope it gets cleared up for her either way.

quote:this is correct. We all love Mulkey and respect our ladies and want them to win it all but women's basketball, even at the highest level, is unwatchable.
Then I finally catch one of the big games and am reminded that women’s basketball is legitimately hard to watch even if you support one of the teams.
It just is.

"Unwatchable"? Guess the 10-13K who pack the P Mac disagrees ?.And when they go on the road, for the most part, those arenas are sold out, too.
