Yeah, both bowls have good start times ... I just like Jan 2nd over Jan 1st for GameDay. Would prefer to not have to get up too early New Year's Day.

and TigahRag.. FWIW, I had no problem with your earlier post. I had nothing to do with it being marked unreadable. It didn't bother me atall.

come on dumbass, quit your stupid, self-serving crap .. as if LSU would want to go the cotton bowl over the cap one bowl .. Jesus ..

There's no reason to get all pissy about it... I thought I made some valid points as to why I would prefer the Cotton this year.

Wrong. Played them in the Orange Bowl in the 70s.

This.

Would love to face Joe Pa. Joe Pa is the last one of his kind. Will be sad to see him go.

Given that the thread was started by me to convey my preferences for the Bowl game, your point is moot.

But feel free to join in the discussion at hand at some point! I prefer Cotton over Cap1 in 2010 for a variety of reasons already listed. I'll be wherever they tell us to play and having a good time regardless, but if our particular krewe had our choice, we want Cotton.

Prefer a PSU matchup. A loss to PSU would not be as hard to take as a loss to a B12 team. For pride and recruiting purposes.

Not saying LSU will lose, just my reasons. ALso think the LSU/PSU matchup would be a good one, worry though about PSU's strength on the offensive/defensive lines.

Orlando will be warmer & I'd rather see us play Penn State than anyone from the Big 12.

The stadium here does suck and everyone knows it. City passed a funding measure for new Magic arena, stadium renovations, and a new performing arts center. Well, the arena thing is going ahead, but all the others are on hold. SUCKS.

Weather is great. Mid 70's and clear blue skies today!

Capital One is a better bowl. However, although I'm not necessarily a huge fan of Dallas, if you're an adult I think you can find a lot more to do there than anything affiliated with Disneworld or Universal Studios. JMO.

This is the best post ever. The Cotton is better than the Capital One for us, and you nailed the reasons right on the head.

I'm with you JPL. I'd rather the Cotton for a couple reasons, and both pretty much have everything to do with me and not the team. I just want to go to a game in the new stadium and I know I wouldn't be able to get any of my friends to make a trip to Orlando for a game on New Years day.

I'm a bit surprised so many in this thread favor the Cap1 this particular year. Our groupk of friends didn't even blink an eye ... everyone wants the Cotton, and we usually disagree on everything, lol.

I definitely want the Cotton bowl. Several friends and family including myself are only going to the bowl game if it is in Dallas. Better date, better stadium, and within driving distance for our fanbase.
