Not true, actually. there are quite a few people that prefer the Cotton over the Cap1 this particular year, trust me.

All that said, I'd be very happy to be in Orlando playing Penn State. It's a good situation to be in, and one we would not have even been discussing had we lost to Arky, so all-in-all I'm happy to just be having the discussion.

Not the AD. Cap 1 pays about 4.25 million. Cotton about 3 million.

$$$ doesn't matter. All the money (minus bowl travel expenses) goes to the SEC and is divided by 12.

For anyone that is interested, the Cotton may possibly outbid the Cap1 and take over the SEC #2 spot in the bowl pecking order for 2011 and beyond.

LSU speed and athletes versus PSU big grinders and semi skilled offense.

LSU will need to play smart. Compare LSU to Ohio State see the results LSU vs Iowa = yawwwwwnnnnnnn.

I vote for Capital One. The only thing better about the Cotton is the stadium. The Capital One Bowl stadium isn't too good and is in a relatively "bad" part of Orlando. Can't Disney build a new one?

Cap 1 all the way!

After the bowl game, you can go on a vacation. Can't say the same for Dallas.

The Cotton may be a better bowl for the fans but the Cap One is much better for the players. I'm sure they would rather go to Disney on a sunny 80 degree day than freeze in Dallas with nothing to do during the bowl week. Also, the swag bag for the Cap One is usually just as good as a BCS bowl. The players will get some nice stuff in their gift bag.

Wish we could play the cotton opponent in the Cap 1. LSU v Big 12 is MUCH more interesting than Iowa and I would even say better than playing PSU.

Playing Iowa would be :puke:

Not exactly how it works. LSU gets a bigger share of its bowl money (as do other bowl teams), the balance of the bowl money is divided evenly in 12 shares, the SEC and 11 other schools getting the balance.
