This Week Would Be the Best Time to Fire Pelini

In the midst of a double bye and coming off of one of the worst defensive performances in LSU history, this seems to be the best week to fire Pelini.
Bo Pelini, TYFYS, take your buyout money and live happily ever after.
Let's find a young coach that has fresh ideas and isn't still living in 2007.

Give the guy a full season at this point. We aren't making the playoffs.

why can't there be an "epic suck" or "this shite ain't workin, baw" clause in these contracts?

Covid, short camp, new scheme, depleted roster, and the program is bleeding money and laying off employees. Fire Pelini and pay a huge buyout. You guy's don't live in the real world. SMH

LSU is looking at losing 80 million this year due to covid, they've laid off people in the department, not gonna be able to buy him out and pay for someone else....we gotta finish this mess with what we have.

There is no reason to fire Bo at this point. This season was a throwaway asterisk season anyway and we’re out of the race for SEC and playoff. Firing Bo and promoting another assistant is going to take away critical development time for the young players.
Not to mention there’s a cash flow problem with the AD.

He won't be fired this year, but he will be on a short leash next year. The first game that his defense has no desire to stop the other team, and he's gone. O is on a short leash too from what I'm hearing. LSU will have to show some life next year or him and Pelini can vacation together next December.

He could literally give up 70 points and 700 yards of offense a game and they won’t fire him before the season ends. The only way they fire him at all is if the boosters can pull together his buyout and hope he finds a job somewhere else to mitigate some of the financial hit.

Just how much of this buyout money or salary of the new coach are you wiling to personally contribute, baw?
I love how you truck bruhs spend someone else's money.

Question: What's his buyout?
We are projected to lose $80(?) million in revenue right?
I don't think he is going anywhere.

treating O and Pelini the same way would be a stupid move.

Okay Gray, I’ll bite.
First off, I wouldn’t have been dumb enough to sign Pelini in the first place. I believe that relinquishes any financial responsibility that I have.
Secondly, I don’t drive a truck.
Finally, whatever the buyout is, I’m sure the booster baws are fine with splitting it to send him back to Ohio.

.....because he's the problem, of course.

"treating O and Pelini the same way would be a stupid move."
That's not exactly what I said. O has all of next season. Pelini is on a much shorter leash. If Pelini is fired, it will reflect on O, because hiring him was his idea. LSU isn't just concerned about this year. They know that they are going to take a huge hit financially, but they see that as inevitable this season. Next year is a different story altogether. They aren't willing to give O a lot of time, because they just can't afford the financial ramifications of putting a crappy product on the field two years in a row. If they stink it up early next season, that's another hit, and that would carry forward to the following year because of fan apathy. The kind of deficits that they are running make the buyouts look small.
