It's evident the fans, administrators and now players have lost confidence in Miles. A last second win yesterday would have only given false hope. If we go 6-6 it will be fortunate.

The debate on who comes in is now the main topic of interest. You let the season play out. Mike's retires or is fired at the end. We are still in play with every candidate we are interested in. It gives us not a lot but enough time to put a decent recruiting class together as well as retain the coaches we want.

The rest of the season is also a job interview for any coach on staff to impress. Every draft eligible JR can go and we play the young talent.

In two years we are back in the running. It's just the long wait to see how this all plays out.

This was inevitable.

Miles is fired late tonight or early tomorrow. O is named interim head and gives the program some much needed urgency to win out. Search committee is formed and gets a jump on EVERYONE since we're the ONLY program without a head ball coach

At some point in the next six weeks it will happen, I would like to see it before Ole Miss and Bama tear us limb from limb

Miles is a laughing stock. Coaches don't even have to game plan.

Successful people will always tell you they learn more from their mistakes than their successes.

Thomas Alva Edison tried hundreds of time before he achieved electric lights.

Losses are the only way to progress to wins.

Stop being a child.

This is sadly myopic. Losing that leads to positive change is infinitely better than winning and treading water without hope.

We fire Les now and start our search now and have our Coach in place before other people start their search.

Disagree. Had we lost to aTm last season, which I was hoping for, we wouldn't be watching this dumpster fire right now and we're probably 4-0 and in the top 5. Instead we're hanging out with the SEC bottom feeders like Vandy, MSU, and Kentucky with the best roster we've had 5 years.

What? Our 2011 and 2013 roster is better than this year.

I love how some of you act like we are immune to bad hires.

You are the type of person that is dangerous to society because you lack the ability to think or expand. In your own head, Miles is a safe choice because it's comfortable to you, regardless of what the facts are telling you. So, you would be very happy as a mediocre team with your boy Miles than even attempt hiring another coach. With the influx of talent in the state it would take a true idiot to do any worse than Miles has done the last 5 years.

we aren't... but you at least have to TRY to do better than where we currently are....

we have the PROVEN track record with Miles... that's not going to change... at BEST, we stay stuck on the treadmill at 9-3, 10-2 every year... not horrible, but we never get a shot at a title.... again, if we keep Miles, that's the BEST we can hope for, because it won't change from where we have been and where we currently are...

some of you are so scared to try for better, and with the loser's mentality of "you can't miss the shot if you don't take the shot", LSU will become but a footnote in college football...

Counting this year 5 years would go back to 2012 by my math. SMH

Had we not had all the early entrants into the draft in 2013 that roster would have been more talented.

Simplistic thinking.

There are many times where losing is better for a team, a program, or a player, in the long run.

Do you realize we just wasted one of our best squads to make this happen?

Alleva and FKing and the entire board need to go for allowing this to happen.

Having LF actually made Miles more stubborn and hard headed.

The stinking engine ain't broke you know.
