They absolutely refuse to block out the guy closest to them. It’s not that difficult. They have to stop giving them free runs to the rim after shots. It happens so much in every game. I know Wade probably drills them about it everyday but they just don’t get it.

It is unbelievable how bad Epps is at rebounding.

Rebounding is atrocious, but it would only make this one look slightly better...

Zero fundamentals.

It’s more mentality than athleticism.

Team just doesn’t have it this year. We are clearly in rebuilding mode even by the basics. Wade can only do so much.

We are seeing in certain games why this team wasn't expected to do what it has already.

Also why we are as a collective stoked about the future: this team isn't extremely talented, but plays above their heads at times all year. But, in certain ganes like today the teams we play expose all the flaws and perform up to their abilities.

Still extremely excited about the future.

Auburn, Alabama, Vandy, etc.. get your shots in now as it won't be there in the near future.

Thank God we’ve got Kavell and three of the top 8 rebounders in high school coming in.

It's helps when you aren't lazy. Auburn is playing 20X harder than LSU.

LSU looks like they quit about 3 minutes into the game

I don’t think it’s effort. It’s just lack of athleticism and overall hand eye coordination by our bigs.

It's like we lack athletic big guys or something. I mean wtf right?

You’re right we just don’t have any rebounders. That’s why I’d like to see us run and shoot more 3s and press or play zone. You have to strategically compensate for all the extra possessions you’re giving the other team and playing straight up man to man won’t do that.

I’m fortunate enough to attend practice when I want to. Blocking out and being aggressive to the ball is harped on over and over again. The biggest drawback is Duop and Epps are very slow afoot. Rebounding is all about positioning and strength and they can’t get there and they’re both weak. The fact that you only have 2 players over 6’6” and they’re deficiencies are obvious spells doom and gloom along w extra shots...... Kir shows flashes but brings nothing to offensive output.....

And it's crazy that we have 3 post players 6'11, 6'9, and 6'7 signed for next year. Why would be do such a thing?

That’s why I’d like to see us play the 2-3. We are going to give up offensive rebounds anyway so you’re best bet is having Reath as close to the rim at all times.

Man I don't know lol. Clearly this is just an effort problem. It's not like auburn is any good this year either ya know? This team is as talented as everyone we play. Wade is just talk amirite?

Yes. Clearly effort. Opponent doesn't matter. Don't need a coach to teach a 6'11" player to jump and grab balls.

I'd imagine the double take some people would take if they looked at Coach K's record his first 3 seasons at Duke.

Talent matters. As does coaching. Will Wade bring both. Even if we lose by 40 tonight.

That may be why they got three of the top rebounders in this coming class

Hopefully that turns it around big time

Reath may literally be the worst rebounding 6-10 player in country.

He has the hand weakness of a 12 year old girl to boot.
