Skenes was an auto 1-0.

And we still gave up a 9 run lead to a State team that didn’t even make the fricking SECT because the pen was such a mess. I believe we lost that series. That was on Mother’s Day, not at the beginning of the SEC slate. Then we got bounced in game 1 in Hoover WITH Skenes pitching. I had 0 hope of making it to Omaha at that point.

The Regional is a new world and it’s in the Box. Let’s see what happens vs 3 non-SEC teams at home. We’ve seen not just 23, but a couple of other LSU teams flip the switch when the postseason started.

fricking over-emotional 13yo girls on their first periods all over this board.

They haven’t hit for 6 weeks!! Batting average for the team is in a free fall.

And yet in those six weeks, the won series against Bama, Tenner, Arky, and SCe.

When you look at the fact that he started against Tulane, our pitching this year is much more suited to win a regional than in 2023.

every team that has a top 8 hosting bid can win the CWS. all of them have flaws, all of them lose. all of them lose to inferior teams.

Maybe they make the CWS and go 0 - 2 OUT. MAYBE. But this team is not winning a championship. Very good team but not great.

You can say this about every team and you’d most likely be right. Not really going out on a limb there lol. But they also have a chance if we push the right buttons.

I think they can beat anyone with Anderson or Eyanson on the mound. I just don't know if we have the offense to go through the field.

Baseball is a funny game......there is no dominant team.

We gotta good shot, IMO.

They just don’t have the bats to do it. Which is a shame because pitching is there.

Wasn’t Johnson’s strength supposed to be coaching hitting? His first year they had a strong hitting team but couldn’t pitch.

You have taken the biggest chicken shite stance of all. If you are wrong, you just say you are happy to be wrong and no one cares and if the team doesn’t win you brag about being “right”. A gutless stance

Correct. And it’s a stance you can take against every team in the country and you’d have probably at least a 90% chance of being correct.

I agree, but for most of the year, pitching was not there. It seems like just in the last 2 weeks, it’s all coming together. I believe that could happen with the offense as well.

But if nothing changes, we won’t make a deep run. Offense isn’t there yet

This team lacks timely hitting, and they don't have anything close to the power up and down the lineup that 2023 had.

I can’t figure out if you people are more stupid or trolling but I guess it really doesn’t matter.
Whatever issues you cite to LSU, 99.5% teams would love to have just those problems and enjoy the benefits.
