This Team is struggling with overall Consistency in every phase

And I think it is everything to do with lack of depth and over 40 new players on the roster learning a new system. Lane Kiffin knew this was the case coming in this year. Did we overspend on some players. Yes we probably did. But if we didn’t sign them, someone else would have. Expectations of a possible 10-2 season is quite lofty, but 7 to 8 wins is about the best I think we can do at this point. I hope I am wrong for thinking this.

The reality is our over Offensive Line is average at best.
The right side is below average
The left a little above
End result is we cannot impose our will in the run against a big/PHYSICAL team when necessary. This hurt us in the first half of Ole Miss and throughout the Kentucky game.

I thought we had a chance at 9-10 wins, but this is a 7-8 win team. There aren’t many sure wins on the schedule. MSU is a toss up. This team is mediocre at best.

The SAME coach had a QB, RB, multiple WRs and OL all "learning a new system" last season. They seemed to have no problems. And by the way, that team had 50+ new players (30 transfers and 23 HS signees).
Plus, LSU has the same DC from last year. His is not a "new system". And of the general 2-deep on defense over half were returning players from last year.

Here’s the thing. All we need them to be is average.
Our quick passing game is great. And when it gets going, it automatically opens up the run a little too.
We don’t have to fight for 3 or 4 yards on the ground. Our passing game is way more effective in those situations.

And we all knew this was possibility b4 the season just based on all of the turnover of coaches and players.LKsaid it himself.There is no magic wand to be waved.Some teams come together fast some slowly ,none are the same.
