Nothing is set in stone until Mrs. Terry says so

Despite carefully tiptoeing around politics as much as possible, he has given enough clues over the years to let it be known he’s a Democrat…

The negotiations are at 15M

You want to keep politics out of sports. You know what fixes all that at LSU? Hiring Saban, LSU is the best opening now among Power 4 schools, even if the school does not have a president or an athletic director at the moment. That instability and political posturing does not matter. Saban would supersede all that in Baton Rouge. Among all the hypotheticals, this one makes the most sense.

Wouldn’t shock me if this is what played out:

- Saban agrees to a deal behind closed door
- Buffoon Landry runs to every sports media outlet announcing the deal and how not a dime is taxpayer money
- Saban gets cold feet and publicly denies any interest
- LSU hires Sonny Cumbie

This would be the cherry on the shite sundae

In his defense, that was the word I got Sunday early morning also. Something substantively changed at some point later in the morning.

I'm not sure even Saban could turn his nose up at 20m a year, none of us really know what lengths the two billionaire donors we have are willing to go to in order to win a championship/become a dynasty.

If it became known to the football public in this state, that Landry could somehow torpedo a deal to bring Saban back to LSU…..in any capacity….the recall petitions would take 72 hours to get all signatures needed.

That’s putting it lightly. I’d be surprised if his IQ is above 85.

He didn’t, thank goodness. Carville is enough of an embarrassment.
