News was broken by an insider on Bengal Tiger hours before this imposter tried to break the news.
Maybe he copied it, but he was the first to mention on TD that Kelly was being fired. An hour and a half later, someone else said the same thing. There was a long gap on this board when that was the only post.

When shite breaks, we know TD, 18 posters all post the same shite as fast as they can to garner attention.

Yeah I saw that too. That was right around the same time when insiders on TOS posted that BK was gone too. Weird coincidence.
And that's fine. I am Homer Simpson'ing this conversation.

I can believe a call was made and an offer was extended. I just have a hard time believing Saban at 74 wants to get back into coaching when he clearly hated the current landscape as much as he did

The only way it makes sense is if he still truly does have that lingering love for LSU, sees the foundation he built starting to crumble after 20 years away from it, and wants to fix it back up to where we'll continue to have success even after him, which is what he did last time he was here.

Maybe this is just me wanting to believe but during the LSU/Vandy week he was the only one that picked us on GameDay and I thought I saw a little pain behind his eyes that fricking Vandy was the consensus pick over us. Maybe he is getting the itch after being out of coaching for a couple of years and this is the only chance he'll get to go back to LSU so it's now or never

The most likely scenario however is that he's willing to help consult during the search and maybe some behind the scenes advice on the structure of the program. I just have a hard time seeing him leaving a cushy gameday job where he's still around the sport without having to deal with all this NIL and portal shite.

If he came back here and coached his legacy would not change at Bama.
This. Much like LSU, Bama was floundering in mediocrity or worse before Nick got there.

Saban's odds to be the next coach went from 3% to 24% on Kalshi today, with a lot of movement in the past hour

Part of me believes it’s a purposeful. What bigger smoke screen is there then Nick Saban.

The actual name with the most heat

What is the point of a smokescreen?.

What are they trying to hide?

And I don't know whether they contacted Saban or not.
