How about 2 years as head coach, with Sheppard as associate head coach in waiting. It's basically a mentorship, and it gives LSU fans confidence that Sheppard is ready to be a long term head coach. I like that idea. But there's no way in heck Saban is coming back to coach at 74 lol.

Not a chance. He is still an advisor at UA, ESPN gig, commercials left and right, MB and Ferrari dealerships, the work Ms Terri is doing, plus grandkids, he is not changing all of that to coach LSU for a few years. Especially with the turmoil going on in our own back yard.

Obviously you are a youngster but I get it! When I was a teenager like you, I thought my Dad (RIP) was 80 years old when he was in his mid 40s! I do get it but, now that I'm close to 70 My brain is SMARTER and every bit as sharp as ever! He played ball so like me, I am not a third as fast as I was but 74 to coach even a spry 84 y o could coach but in saying this I'd rather find a 30-40 y o MAN ?? to come on down!
