Finish 1st or 2nd in the Division and we're hosting. You take RPI out of the equation. We lost too many games we had no business losing.

Why does RPI seem so much more screwed up this year than usual. I can’t remember a time where an 18-12 Arkansas team didn’t host over a 15-15 Florida team

That’s just insane

No divisions for baseball… but if you take that logic what do you tell Arkansas???

RPI is just a convenient excuse to SELECTIVELY justify the committee’s decision. When they want to grant a team favors (UF), they’ll point to RPI.

But in 2011 (?) when LSU was denied the tournament with an RPI in the 20’s, RPI wasn’t important.

Remember “Whose Line is It Anyway”? Everything is made up and the points don’t matter.

Your take is basically just win and it isn't a problem, yet you ignore Arkansas as an example of a team that just won, and didn't get to host. What about the opposite. Does a team like Georgia Southern scheduling and losing all of those Q1 games, boosting RPI and getting a host not bother you? They didn't just win. They lost.

Wade was a master of RPI. CPM set us up with this trash schedule.

Went back and checked and couldn’t find a year where a 15-15 sec team hosted. Not only do they host but it’s instead of a 18-12 team. NCAA is so f’d up now, NIL, the Wild West transfer portal and now they’re using high flawed RPI system to screw with baseball. NCAA is in a death spiral.

Arkansas finished 2nd and is isn’t hosting, you don’t have a clue. The NCAA has become a basket case.

This biggest issue is the over reliance on the RPI by the committee. Instead of actually trying to do their job, they’ve effectively outsourced the job to a flawed rating formula.

The flaws can be tolerated if it’s only part of the evaluation. The lazy committee has made it the total of the evaluation.

Georgia southern hosting is absurd

They got their doors blown off by Tennessee. How is that a positive?

Their best win is 1 midweek win against Georgia, they lost to them two other times. And also a mid week win early in the year against Georgia tech.

Then they took 2 out of 3 from mighty Texas State

That’s the extent of their resume. It’s absurd that they are hosting over an 18 win Arkansas that finished with the 3rd best SEC record

Georgia Southern’s biggest win was scheduling Tennessee.

ETA: they’ve done it two years in a row. One year it cost them Chase Dollander, the next they got to host.

Arkansas bottomed out in the last 3 weeks. That was obviously taken into consideration.

We don't get swept by a very average Ole Miss, and look really bad in the process, we're not having this conversation. RPI is just an excuse.

It’s going to make good teams not schedule small schools because it will hurt their RPI so much

LSU has done the exact opposite of this
