I posted last night in the 10th that this team was soft and couldn’t handle adversity. I meant that because until last night they have showed no sign of being able to fight out of this funk they have been in. Until that point I have defended the team to everyone. I will remain negative if it means this team builds on this and plays to their ability

There is a vocal minority on both ends of the spectrum who take things to an extreme, but the majority are neither all doom and gloom nor all sunshine. That doesn’t stop people from painting those who disagree with them as extremists. There are legitimate reasons for concern about the team, but grand proclamations that the team sucks, the season is over, this is the worst collapse ever, this team won’t make it out of regionals, etc. are ignorant and overly emotional. If things don’t get better then they will struggle. Suggestions that either there’s no need to worry or that there’s no way things can turn around are both over the top and completely unknowable. Baseball is inherently unpredictable.
