This Ole Miss student section ban is going to end up like 2019 UT band in the upper deck

What? They aren’t trying to limit fan impact, they are trying to keep fights from breaking out.

They aren’t allowing fans wearing opposing colors in the student section, which is probably smart decision on their part.

Texas band needs to be put into the nosebleed section of Tiger Stadium on 14 Nov just to pay back them sons of bitches

Yes, literally had a UT friend of mine bring it up at a kids party last week

I think its a good idea for safety and security reasons. I also think it's kind of funny, because if this thing gets out of hand in favor of LSU, the student section will be empty.

It has nothing to do with "fan impact" it is a legitimate safety move, and it is smart
They are trying to avoid what happened at the LSU/OM baseball game last spring

When Texas comes here this year their band better be in upper east. I hope LSU doesn’t wuss out on this

LSU really has no control over where the Texas band sits. The SEC mandates a certain percentage of visitor’s seats must be in the lower level of the stadium. Texas will decide if they want to use some of those seats for their band, or give them to high dollar donors. Texas didn’t have to abide by that rule in 2019 since it was an out of conference game. We did the same thing to Clemson two weeks ago. Did you notice how few Clemson fans were in the lower bowl? We could do that because they weren’t an SEC opponent.
Something Ole Miss and Bama do and I wish we would do, is to split up the visitor seats in the lower level. We have them all clustered together in the southeast corner.
