I think pulling him was right. Pulling him for Edwards is just plain dumb. Hellmers should be fine for the next 3 innings.
Need runs now.

Only one guy was hitting him. But yes he didn’t have it. It’s not like the whole lineup was rocking him.

If he was left in they would have blown the game wide open.

Y'all are going to be really upset if y'all think a decision like this is going to be a thing of the past.
It was the right move. He didn't have it today. And that's understandable after last week.

You’re a complete idiot if you can’t tell his arm was dead. He didn’t even try to fight to stay in the game, he knows he didn’t have it after pitching twice last weekend. It’s time for Paul to go, but you’re just way off base on this one. Just pick something that actually makes sense to criticize. There are several options.

Marceaux at 50-75% is better than anyone we have out of the pen IMO
Oh well… to each his own.
From my vantage point, we pulled our starter too early in both games. Of course if we only score 2-3 runs like yesterday, the pitching didn’t matter anyway.

No, according to some he clearly didn’t have it…giving up a mere 2 earned runs through 3
You don’t pull your fricking Ace in an elimination game through 3 innings in a 1-run game

Down by 3, that’s not end of the world, point being the deficit could have been much worse had he been left in. We just need more bats than Crews.

I love how the retards talking as if this was Game 1 of a random mid-season SEC series
I was beginning to think I was the only one ITT who remembered the season ends if we lose this game

Idiotic and something that anyone with a shred on baseball/pitching knowledge knows is complete bullshite.

Hilliard threw twice last weekend as well. If he had gone out in the 6th, and walked a few or given up a couple of hits, y'all would have been bitching about not pulling him after his workload last week when you had Coleman in the bullpen ready to go.
Anyone with any baseball knowledge can easily understand both moves. Sadly that isn't much of this board.

He was giving up bombs and flirting with disaster every inning. His fastball wasn’t hitting 90 and his slider was trash.

It’s a good thing we’ve avoided disaster since pulling him

Respectfully, I disagree.
Hilliard should have started the 6th last night, and Marceaux should have started the 4th today.
Bad decisions, and if you can’t admit it even after we’ve already seen the results of the decisions, I don’t know what to tell you.

How can so many of you not see that he didn't have it today? Be pitched TWICE last weekend. He was going on one less day of rest.
He even agreed with Paul and Alan on the decision. They showed them in the dugout.
Almost like leaving Marceaux in the throw 40 pitches in game 7 was a bad idea huh? I guess it's too bad Fontenot couldn't go......oh wait.
